This just shows the level of self-centredness of the average American politician. I doubt the average American voter gives a rat's ass whether Kerry fell down while snowboarding. Hell, if he was a regular human being he could have made a joke out of it (Janet Reno, when she broke her foot roller-blading joked that it isn't the job of the Secret Service to protect you from your own stupidity).
As the campaign rolls on, we'll see a lot more instances like this. Kerry is not a human being in the conventional sense. Outside of a structured campaign event environment, he has no idea how to interact with the peasants.
