These photos were taken at the "Global Day of Action" rally in San Francisco on Saturday, March 20th, 2004.
You may have seen other photos taken at the rally, reprinted in newspapers like the San Francisco Chronicle, or on Web sites of groups like A.N.S.W.E.R. But none of them truly capture the essence of what the rally was really like. The only way I could find out what was really going on was to go and document it myself. Which I did. I took so many pictures that I have posted them here on several pages (to avoid having over 100 images on one Web page). There were several "themes" to the event, but the primary and most visible ones are the ones listed below. Click on each category to see pictures from the rally illustrating each theme:
Anti-Americanism
Communism, Marxism and Socialism
Anti-Israel and Pro-Palestinian Activism.
Everyone for Palestine: a Photo Essay.
Conspiracy Theories About 9/11
Opposition to Bush
Palestinian Chic
Movies of the Rally
Idiots: Useful, Useless, and Beyond
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; News/Current Events; US: California; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: ccrm; lefties; sf

How in the world would someone ever convert these people? They are already US citizens, and I hope the numbers are small. However, this would have never happened in WWW2 - and if it did it would not last for more than 10 minutes.

Great photos- thanks. I wish Republican ads would run some of these type of pictures, showing the Democrat true colors.

Nearby was a cardboard Israeli tank that was paid for with my tax dollars. I managed to snap a couple shots before dodging out of the way. I was going to suggest testing an old Dragon on it, but I doubt that it'd penetrate the armor.
Great post, and well thought-out for the dial-up crowd.

The irony, of course, is that these fools would risk prison and/or execution for voicing similar "thoughts" in most of the countries and from the regimes they support.
Riducule terrorist's fools at every opportunity and to put and end to terrorism, kill terrorists.

Excellent work! Thanks for putting this together for us. I'm dumbfounded how so many people can be so misguided.

I saw this linked yesterday on another thread and bookmarked it. It's going to be sent to everyone I know.
Are they your pictures? Nice work.

If you didn't see this yesterday, take a look today.

For everyone asking, I found this directory via NRO's The Corner, I did not collect these pictures myself.
I poked around a bit in this person's directory but could not find a name to attribute them to, hence the N/A authorship.
Whoever did collect/take these though deserves a healthy round of applause.

Words fail me...what a bunch of whackjobs. Thanks for your efforts putting this together.

Terrific work. Reminds me of just one of the dozens of reasons I left California 3 years ago...

There is a guy whose nickname is "Zombie" who I know personally as an aquaintance .... he's a rabid HotTalk560 KSFO and 910 KNEW listener. I suspect, but cannot prove, these are his. In any case, if they are his, nice work! I'll be sending out these links far and wide!

I will never refer to the "protesters" as belonging to an anti-war group. I will call the group by its one and only true name, "the saddam hussein fan club". That is exactly what they are, and there is no way they can try to argue out of the title. I encourage everyone else to refer to these monsters as the same!

It's actually comforting that these mentally ill psychopaths are on the other side. Reassures me that I am on the right side. I really like the peaceful man with the Palestine sign and a german flag on his shirt.

They are subversive communists. At least 90% of them have a mental illness.

Excellent post. They just do not understand they are in the extreme minority. Hatred will do strange things to people.
