You're assuming the "mainstream press" isn't populated by "whackos". In my opinion, that could be a mistake. Look at CBS from top to bottom; slanted, deceitful, and in general-whacko.

I'd say about half of my co-workers at the last metro daily newspaper where I worked were either mental cases under treatment. usually with psychotropic or antidepressant drugs, or morally bankrupt. The higher up the management ladder you went, the worse it got.
