Dunno. But it is rare. My son works at the largest multiplex in our city, and in the 5 years he's been there, there haven't been any fatalities.
Besides which, there IS a thing called irony ... and this, I suggest, exemplifies it.

So noone else has ever died in a movie theater before? When I went to see Rambo: First Blood at a midnight movie, a man in the theater had a heart attack and stopped the movie while the paramedics worked on him. I doubt that this ever made the papers.

I've watched people have heart attcks in the four star restaurants I have worked in-------and the food wasn't THAT good.

Nobel Laureate Otto Stern and Negro League baseball player Josh Gibson both died at movie theaters. So did Dillinger, come to think of it.
