If he'd had any core values, he would have walked out the minute the subject was broached and never have another thing to do with the VVAW. He stayed and even participated in a vote, and that tells you alot about this man's character...or lack of it.

Bump to read later.
I'd read this now but I have some friends coming over and we are going to chat about killing some other people we don't like. We do this all the time. Doesn't everyone? /sarcasm off
To: crushkerry
The fact that he did not IMMEDIATELY contact the FBI and tell them there was a conspiracy to assasinate government officials speaks volumes.
Even to be privy to an assasination conspiracy regardless of his ~vote~ should be a huge red (and I do mean Red) flag.

If this is true, he had a moral and legal obligation to report what happened.

How could he even dignify the issue of conspiracy to murder Senators by voting on it? If he had an ounce of respect for himself and this country, he would have run out of there. If he was a true patriot, he would've reported that meeting to authorities.
Kerry is such a miserable scumbag.
I can't wait for the debates. He's going to be exposed like no other candidate before him, and there are going to be repercussions throughout elections around the country.
Bring it on!

Nevertheless, there is more to this story. You betcha.

He probably voted to assasinate them before voting not to.

Very Clintonesque!
"What meeting? I don't remember such a meeting. There was a meeting?"
"I'd resigned long before that meeting."
"I'd resigned before that meeting took place."
"I went to that meeting to resign. That debate must have taken place after I'd left."
"I attended that meeting, but strenuously objected and immediately resigned when the topic was brought up."
"At the meeting, I voted 'No.'"
Anyone want to guess about tomorrow's response???

FBI records proved Kerry was present, at the meeting
to vote, to assassinate certain U.S. Senators.
With that said, because he was there, and remained
silent for thirty years, does not excuse him and
others from now being charged with conspiracy!!!
This alone to "Hanoi John" is damning, and should
disqualify him from holding any kind of office.

Well that resolves it. Non-story. Move along, here comes Richard Clarke.

John Kerry
1) PERJURED HIMSELF while testifying before the US Senate
2) Plotted to KILL 7 US SENATORS and didn't alert the police
3) Was elected to the US Senate
If he has shown no respect for the office he's already been elected to...
WHAT THE HECK MAKES ANYONE THINK HE'D SHOW RESPECT FOR THE PRESIDENCY???

We have only Kerry's word that he voted "NO". Then, too, he lied about even being there.
Other members of the Senate would be well advised to not turn their back on this guy.
