Now think for a minute. Why would the chronometer roll back? Why would the chronometer record the year in the first place? This is one of those crappily-written, made-for-TV science fiction abominations with enough holes in it that a mentally-challenged 3rd grader would see through it.

My last post had so many typos I will try again to explain why time is NOT unstudied or poorly understood.
About time being unstudied, you're kidding, right? Einstein figured out the nature of time. His theories (special and general relativity) have been proven over and over. You time travel forward a tiny bit, relative to those who stand still, every time you accelerate, even if you return to your starting point. Time travel into the past is probably impractical but, if a future civilization ever managed it, it would require stupendous quantities of energy just to send a wee bit of matter backwards a tiny bit. Such a device would create obvious and severe space/time/gravitational effects anywhere near and could not be hidden.
Go to the public library and check out one of the books at Dewey Decimal number 530.11. "Simply Einstein" by Richard Wolfson is good.

"I just want to know where the sand came from."1965 DUH! Ha! That explains why tet68 says it is from Petunia...it's mud!!!
That said, 65 was more than thirty years ago...I know; I was in Cam Rahn Bay working with some ROK Marines who were tough enough to stir up a mud storm in the Sahara.

Guys, its not even April first yet. Can't you wait 'till then to pull my leg?
Time has come today
Young hearts can go their way
Can't put it off another day
And I don't care what the others say
'Cause they say we don't listen anyway
Time has come today, Hey!
The rules have changed today, Hey!
I have no place to stay, Hey!
And I'm thinkin' about the subway, Hey!
Love has gone away, Hey!
And tears have come and gone, Hey!
Oh my God, I have to run, Hey!
I have no home, Hey!
I have no home, Hey!
Now the time has come, Time!
There's no place to run, Time!
Might get burned up by the sun, Time!
Well, I've had my fun, Time!
Well, I've been loved and put aside, Time!
And I've been crushed by tumblin' tide, Time!
And my soul's be psychedelicized, Time!
Now the time has come, Time!
There are things to realize, Time!
Time has come today, Time!
Time has come today, Time!
Time!
Now the time has come, Time!
There are things to realize, Time!
Time has come today, Time!
Time has come today, Time!
Time!
Now the time has come, Time!
Time has come today, Time!
Time has come today, Yeah!

So that's where the ozone is going...
Good point, and easy to prove. If the volume of ozone in the past is higher, that would prove it's being moved back in time.

Oh, so that's why communism failed. And we all thought is was the mass murder and the psychotic shoe banging and the popularity of Bulgarian formal wear. Really, it was just the CIA using time machines. The paranoids in the 30s looking for "wreckers" everywhere were right. That Stalin, he knew, you betcha.

Federal investigators have arrested an enigmatic Wall Street wiz on insider-trading charges -- and incredibly, he claims to be a time-traveler from the year 2256! While this article is from Yahoo!, it should be noted that Yahoo! is redistributing the article from the Weekly World News.
