Republican Party has ignored its principles
The Greenville News ^ | March 26, 2004 | Robert G. Butch Taylor (letter to the editor)

In a recent letter to the president of the United States, I informed him of my resignation from the Republican Party in Greenville. I shall continue to be involved in the local political arena, but not as a Republican.

I am sick and tired of the Republicans selling us down the river. No matter how hard I try to institute positive change, Republicans and the Republican Party ignore my pleas. For this reason I have joined the U.S. Constitution Party and urge other conservatives to do the same.

The fee/penalty buys the illegal a renewable three year license to travel across the border to work, then return home. At the end of that period of time, the individual must return home.

So in other words it provides him with a way out of the penalty of being deported, along with whatever else current law imposes on him. It also relieves him of the burden of having to go back to Mexico, stand in line, and apply for legal immigration status the normal way.

Amnesty would carry with it an accelerated path to citizenship.

Not according to the definition you posted at #85. That simply defined it as releasing lawbreakers from penalties. (and I'll note that it didn't say all penalties)

"More thoughtful citizens cast their votes for the candidates that best reflect their own views on issues."

More thoughtful citizens cast their votes for the candidates that best reflect their own views on issues WHO CAN WIN.

Now your statement is correct.

I want the government to exhort less control over our industries, you want the government to exhort more control over our industries.

Correction, Luis. I want government to exert more control over our borders.
You want no border controls at all.

BTW, please learn to speak English.

Main Entry: ex·hort
Pronunciation: ig-'zort
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French exhorter, from Latin exhortari, from ex- + hortari to incite -- more at YEARN
transitive senses : to incite by argument or advice : urge strongly
intransitive senses : to give warnings or advice : make urgent appeals

Your arguments regarding Bush's proposed new illegal immigration policy are exactly right. If implemented the policy would indeed amount to AMNESTY.

"Correction, Luis. I want government to exert more control over our borders."

That's not what we're talking about.

"You want no border controls at all."

And that's an obvious lie.

But I tell you what Willie, if you can put up a link to one single post of mine where I call for "no border controls at all", I will leave this forum...if you were a man with any integrity whatsoever, you would do the same once you gave up on finding my saying that anywhere on this forum, ever...but have no integrity, so you'll quietly run along, perfectly content being branded a liar.

The point being of course, that if you had a point to make Willie, you wouldn't have to lie in order to make it.

You want the government to stop industry from freely conducting commerce overseas, the only way that can happen, is for government to increase their encroachment and control of our industries here.

That's the communist economic model.

You want the government to do that in order to protect fat cat Union leaders, and industrialists who are incapable of competing in the world market.

You promote basic communism economic models for the benefit of the Union elitists, at the expense of the American consumer.

Americans are already in deep trouble because they depend on the Federal government for their health care, education, and retirement income...you want them depending on the Federal government for their jobs!!!!

The conservative way Willie, is to promote individualism, which is quite possibly why your Union membership clouds your vision.

Quit demanding that the government uphold inefficiency via your protectionist ideasWillie, Americans have never needed government protection to compete against the world...indeed the world should fear American industrial might unbound.

So, if I am oin death row, and my sentence is communted to life in prison without the possibility of parole, I would consider myself the recipient of amnesty?

Read Bush's words if you;re going to disagree with what he said.

There will be no accelerated path to citizenship for anyone.

"So in other words it provides him with a way out of the penalty of being deported."

It changes the penalty of deportation to a fine, if they voluntary register. If they don't, they are deported when caught. It does not grant him any immigration status, it allows him to come work in the US for a period of time.

I was in the Castro school system roughly less than 3 years, but don't let facts get in the way of your lies and fabrications..typical communist tactics.

My mistake! For whatever reason, I was under the erroneous impression that you had immigrated to America at an older age.

My apologies. I stand corrected.

Substantially reduces the penalty, wouldn't you agree?

It changes it.

To what degree is a matter of personal opinion.

But it nevertheless is a change, and not an amnesty.

We have met the enemy and he are us!

All your Pogo are belong to us...

Change the drawing board to a 32" flat screen monitor and there you are Jim...

Pogo was my favorite Cartoon when I was a kid. This guy was always on his game:

During an episode in which Kelly spoofed radical senator Joseph McCarthy, one editor banned the strip because "politics has no place on the comics page". Kelly promptly introduced a character into the strip.
Miss Sis Boombah who was labeled a red and a political chicken from Providence, the town where the strip was banned.

Apparently so. If you don't like the idea of One Way Trade deals with Communist Nations that are fleecing our jobs, technology, and manufacturing infrastructure—especially the one that threatened to Nuke us 3 years ago, or don't like mass illegal immigration and open borders.... You’re a Commie.

Up is Down and Down is Up in Today's AmeriKa. The sun sets in the east and rises in the west. Ignorance is strength.

I'm gettin' with it Joe.
