I hope they do choose Cuomo, but I don't think they are that dumb.

Oh, this is a GREAT idea!

Maybe we could hear the Clinton tapes again where he calls him a mobster!

"A lot of us believe that Mario Cuomo is just what John Kerry needs as a counterpoint to [Vice President] Dick Cheney," said O'Shaughnessy, who once headed "Republicans for Cuomo."
Just wave bye-bye to the the entire south east and most of the midwest, dudes. The north east liberal establishment classes will applaud you as vigorously as their flabby limbs and wasted lives will allow, but not so vigorously that you fail to hear the rest of the country stampeding away from you.

Kerry-Cuomo? No, that's a non-starter.

Let's try Kerry-Kennedy or Kerry-Streisand. What about Kerry-McGovern? He's still around. That's the way to go.

NO! I've got it.

Kerry-Carter. He's tanned, rested, and ready. And he can pull the Southern vote.

Mario couldn't even pull the trigger on a presidential run. I think his friends need to stop smoking angel dust.

Ah, how I remember Cuomo back in the '90s. That poor chump practically conducted his business with the slogan: "Now is the time for firm decision-making! ...or is it?"

To be realistic, no chance. Mario is even left of Kerry and they would never try to run with two northeastern candidates. It would be a quick kill for us.

It will never happen. Kerry is so liberal he needs someone he can claim is a moderate. But it would be funny to watch the liberal media portray Cuomo as a moderate like they are doing for Kerry, the most liberal senator in the senate, and Hillary.

I have a better VP choice.

Either Grey Davis or Bustamante.

Some insider stuff from a Noo Yawker....

Mario is not in the mob. His family is clean as a whistle. Matilda's family is, or at least was in it up to their chins. This is what kept Cuomo off any national ticket, and is what will keep him off the bench of any court.

This comes straight from I guy I knew in the 90s who had two jobs, he was a stock broker for the boys and he ran a titty bar on Staten Island. You don't run a skin joint in NYC without being a card carrying gf yourself. If he says someone is in the club, he's in the club.

I've heard that Mario has only one speech that he recycles. He'll be a perfect mate for zzzzzzzzzzzzKerry. We can all sleep during the campaign, then wake up (refreshed)to a BUSH RE-ELECTION! I'm dreaming!!!

For his part, Cuomo, 72, said, "I think they want someone who is younger, who doesn't come from the Northeast, who isn't as liberal as I am, and someone who could deliver a state."

Sanity has finally return to a man who has been teetering on the brink but I'm hoping Kerry isn't listening.

Now I'm not known to wear a tin-foil hat (sheeesh, who am I kidding!), but if the 'Rats pick Mario for VEEP, it will be proof positive to me that Hillary! is looking to sabotage the 'Rats in 2004 to make sure the spot is open in 2008. There is no other possible interpretation.

Allow me to be the first: "Mario! Azzenda me!..."

One of my favorite Simpsons was when Krusty lost his daughter's violin and had to go recover it from some Italian mobsters he gave it to in a card game.

He and Homer go to the villa to recapture it, and there are some cars in the background. Homer says the whole mafia is here, and Krusy points to each car-"The Travoltas, the Cuomos..."
