Just an observation about the picture.
His head is up. A bad player will keep his head down to watch either his skates or the puck.
One foot is off the ice. Try to be a bad skater and pick a foot up. You will fall quicker than a liberal senator in the polls.
Given, his socks aren't taped, the gloves look brand new, he isn't wearing a helmet and whatever he is wearing on his shoulders looks pretty skimpy.
Looks to be a friendly game for some charity or something and yes, definitely a photo op. Not saying he is Bobby Orr, but he can play.
Question is, can he build a fence, brand cattle, maintain a ranch, run a 6:45 mile and lead the free world?

Hmmmm. Well, I've re-read your post and it seems that you have identified positive proof from the photograph that Kerry can skate, though the jury is still out on the status of the hockey equipment. I don't think we have evidence that he can play. I'll grant you that he can probably skate. We have no proof, however, that he did not learn this from being an accomplished figure skater....and think about it, it makes sense. Where else could he learn to spin like he does?

My friends who ski tell me that many ski-borders are very irresponsible and rude to others on the slopes. So maybe thats the connection.
