I've seen them, and not just on MTV, saw this gem on Nickelodeon last week -

Young male, about 25, on a stage in jeans and t-shirt, says

"The government gets to decide a lot of things for me. They get to say whether my baby brother goes to war. They get to say how much money my grandmother gets in her SS check. They even get to tell me who I am allowed to marry. Good thing I can decide who THEY are."

Cha-ching, goes the vote counter behind him.

The original commercial was something like "Can you imagine what might have happened in the last election if 20 million young people had voted?" Their intent is patently obvious.

And these losers are complaining about little, ol' CLEAR CHANNEL?!?!

The dirty secret in Clear Channel being the target of all radio broadcast monopoly talk is that Viacommie's Infinity Broadcasting is the SECOND largest block of stations.

Clear Channel syndicates Rush Limbaugh's radio program but Clear Channel has many employees who are far from being conservative (in fact they savaged the staff of Houston's conservative talk radio station when they took over).

For Kerry, shouldn't it be "Choose AND lose?" BTW, here's what I tell kids about MTV, which probably explains why I'll never get elected to anything. "What you have to understand about the people that run MTV is that they don't care what influence they have on kids. If you die vomiting blood in a gutter during a drug-induced seizure, that's okay with them, as long as you do it wearing blue jeans that are advertised on MTV."

MTV's impact on youth and sex and drugs and personal responsibility is also pathetic, for a different reason.

Don't just blame the messenger, President Clinton appeared on MTV before an audience of young people and told them that he wished he "had" inhaled.

Maybe Kerry's campaign special on MTV should be called:

Toke Or Vote

Besides, this is age of big money hustlas and big pimping stars with lots of bling-bling with little personal effort, a BILLIONAIRE gigolo like John Kerry is an MTV natural. And he's got that "African American" wife...

MTV could even run a whole episode of "Cribs" just touring through John Kerry's numerous homes. If they still need more homes they can always tour rich anticapitalist Michael Moore's million dollar estate.

MTV's audience is not old enough to vote.

Maybe not, but they are old enough to burn down SUV dealerships.

Don't forget Johnny Depp. I'm sure he's taken all that filthy American money and given it to charity, and is living in a shack somewhere. HA!

You see....in MTV's eyes there is only one candidate...and they for some reason also think that the rest of the "young voters" feel that way too.

You're correct. Kerry will have no appeal to the MTV'ers as he'll try to connect with them and blow it.
Bush will look like an adult and won't try to be one of them.

Johnny Depp's saving up so one day he can afford to marry the mother of his children that he is currently "shacking" up with.

The Viacom heads at MTV know that Kerry is not the only candidate this election and that's what scares them. Ralph Nader, the Green Party, the Socialist Party, the Communist Party, the Worker's World Party, and the Socialist Worker's Party all threaten the Democrat vote.

Even without the Greens, Albert Gore Junior could have won Florida in 2000 if he had only gotten all of the declared commie/socialist vote (look at the numbers sometime).

My 15 y/o daughter is already a staunch Republican and turned the channel when this came on last night. She hates Kerry and hates the way MTV is trying to push their liberal agenda down her throat. She says Kerry is ugly and " gay ". We both agree that he looks awful scary without his Botox.
