No way, I think Kerry was talking here at the invitation of the church. I don't think that has ever been yet the reason to pull a status of a church with the IRS.
For heaven's sake, here in California we have the "CHURCH OF MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" which is a group of men who watch football monday night religiously and take IRS deductions.
True old story.
