"I don't know what reality the Bush administration is living in," said Clinton. "But it's certainly not the reality I represent, from one end of New York to the other."

This lying SOS made huge promises to Upstate New York and Western New York when she was running for Senate -- and she hasn't done a single thing to secure jobs for those people; they don't exist for her. How DARE she comment on representing "one end of new York to the other"? Guess she must mean NY CITY.

Asia’s largest technology firm opens office in Buffalo
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton Bridges SUNY-Buffalo and TCS; Government And Business Leaders Gather at Dedication Ceremony

March 10, 2003

> Buffalo, NY: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Asia’s largest information technology firm and America’s second fastest-growing IT consultancy, today announced that it has opened its newest North American office in Buffalo, New York. The deal was the brainchild of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), who is dedicated to bringing new businesses to the state of New York, and was facilitated by the Confederation of Indian Industry, India’s premier business association.

"When I learned of Tata Consultancy Services’ intentions to expand its company, I thought immediately of Buffalo and dedicated myself to showing the company all that the region had to offer, " Senator Clinton said. "TCS could have located anywhere in the country. I am proud but not surprised that they chose Buffalo."

Didn't she bring TATA Consulting Services to Buffalo??

Yes. She opened the door to TATA and ushered thousands of jobs out of New York, from the taxpaying citizens to foreign bribes.

I said no such thing. What I did say was that saying "jobs going overseas is a good thing" during a political year is stupid and political suicide.

Is it political suicide to acknowledge the truth? That increasing trade increases standards of living, and if someone can get a good or service at a lower price, they benefit? Protectionism is political suicide, ask Pat Buchanan.

You realy need to pay attention. I think they have some drugs for adult ADD.

You really need to drop the gratuitious insults. FR doesn't benefit from you being a jerk to other people.

What has pushed me over the edge with you is that you don't get the point I am making. I agree that free trade is a good thing. You are exasperating. If we loose this election and go down in flames so you can be prowd that we talked about the "truth" of free trade, our nation will be in peril with Kerry in charge. If I have to choose between winning the war or "acknoledging the truth", I choose a safer world for my kids.

And while we are at it, we might ask ourselves if its a smart thing to be helping finance Red China's arms modernization and expansion plan with our trade with them. Just a thought.

Why do you think the correct ideas can't win, and the politicians should instead just lie to people and count on general ignorance to get elected?

"Why do you think the correct ideas can't win, and the politicians should instead just lie to people and count on general ignorance to get elected?"

Like any issue in life, this one has to be explained. No person likes hearing that loosing their job is a good thing. While it may look good to the number crunchers in the accounting firms, the average Joe and Jane who are trying to raise a couple of kids, loosing a job is not just stressful, its panic time. Its human nature.

Now this Joe and Jane have an option to vote next fall. They see people with influence all around the nation get their way and they see their vote as one of the few avenues they have to fight back. Now who do you think they will vote for? The guy who tells them he will "guarantee them jobs" or the idiot who says "out sourcing is a good thing for the economy?" I think you know the answer.

The average person has not been educated on free trade, and the free market. They were raised in public schools. Now you know why our side is so far behind on this issue that if we started educating voters on this issue now, it will take until the next election to gain maybe 20% of the voters on our side. And I am being optimistic.
