I prefer a declarative statement such as: You Can Help Stop the Killing - Vote Pro-Life. OR simply "Help Stop the Killing - Vote Pro-life."

Good suggestion, thanks.

This is beautiful thing you're doing.

Keep fighting... keep praying...

Good luck.

If your target audience is already committed pro-life voters it should hit the mark.

Thats who I want to target. Its my billboard on my property. My two partners are helping to fund it,and put it up.

I like it just as it is. It's confrontational. Hard to ignore. I don't think it has too many words. Direct and to the point. It demands a response and isn't too cutesy. I think people ignore cutesy messages often. Life is precious and all that, but people agree that it is, then walk away unchanged. Keep it like it is.

No. You are making a mistake. Their eyes will go past the billboard over and over and over again and they will never get the message if you have too many words. Please listen to those of us who know something about marketing and design. Just say, "Abortion has killed 44 million babies. Vote pro-life." No caps; don't shout. The picture shouts enough.

And lose the flag. This isn't about patriotism, it's about not killing babies. You get the viewer psychologically confused and less likely to accept your premise when you have two different messages, patriotism and abortion, going at the same time.

Your son is very talented. Future graphic artist?

I can't wait to tell him you said that.

Yes he is very talented any many different ways. He is the class valedictorian, and equally talented in several areas.

I will listen, that is why I asked for help. Thanks so much for your expertise.

I agree with the flag part, but the balance of the words seems fine and manageable. If marketers were always right, we'd all have Oreck vacuums and be swilling Ovaltine.

The flag part wasn't meant to be patriotic. It is meant to be an unspoken message about what abortion is doing to our nation.

It will give Pro-life people a warm feeling in their heart.
It will scoffed at by Pro-Choice people.
If there is anyone left that is undecided it will help a tiny bit to tip the scale - one way or the other.

It will clearly make you feel better, so go for it.

It is the right message, of course, BUT...

I agree with Jerry, it's too wordy.

In the 2000 prez election we designed and distributed 12,000 yard signs across S Louisiana. It had no pics just red white & blue stars & stripes & read:

ONE NATION UNDER GOD
PLEASE VOTE
PRO-LIFE

A very nice lady who is a regular Sunday Church goer actually asked us "which one is pro-life?"

So I will offer what we are thinking about this time around.
The pros also tell us to keep it 100% positive-- that people are more receptive the "more positive" it is, (even regarding color & font style) so we are thinking:

VOTE PRO-LIFE - VOTE GEORGE BUSH

If there is another candidate you wish to support, it could read:

VOTE PRO-LIFE - VOTE BUSH & SMITH

And I do think it would be great to have your CPC with phone number as well.

Brainstorming for the babies!

Brings a tear to this grizzled old eye thinking about how many potential Wayne Gretzkies or Tara Lipinskies were in that 44 million but never had the chance to skate.

There are churches full of people who know abortion is wrong but have never voted. I have several friends and family who are very pro-life but have never voted.

You are right most people have made up their minds, except maybe a woman or girl carrying a child and who may be tormented about what to do?

Seeing the baby in the woman might change her mind?

Good! I also would change 'children' to babies. It really is more apropos.

Thanks for your expertise.

Hopefully ever possible voter will get a flyer, or will read a newspaper ad telling them who is, and isn't prolife.

I respect your opinion and will take all of your suggestions with me to the meeting.

I can already hear the pro-abortionists outcry. Too bad. The truth hurts. The message needs to get out.

We have a pregnancy crisis 1-800 number on the other side.

Last year a couple drunk guys shot holes in it. They were too drunk and stupid to pick up the shells that led right to their door step. Both were arrested, and had to pay us for damages.

I agree with the idea of using something short and unambiguous like "VOTE PRO-LIFE - VOTE GEORGE BUSH". You never know who might be influenced by your billboard, and not everyone is informed about current events enough to know who is the "pro-life" candidate.
