FALLUJAH, Iraq (AFP) - Angry residents armed with shovels mutilated the charred bodies of two people, believed to be foreigners, caught in an insurgents' attack and warned the rebel Iraqi town would be the "cemetery" of US occupation forces.
Dozens of residents holding shovels threw themselves on the charred bodies lying next to two four-wheel-drive vehicles attacked by insurgents in central Fallujah, west of Baghdad, said an AFP photographer on the scene.
The residents struck the bodies, cutting off parts, while shouting "long live Islam."
Moments earlier, young men stoned the vehicles which had been in flames following the attack with small arms fire by assailants who fled the scene.
One of the bodies was seen ablaze inside one of the cars before residents extracted it from the vehicle to lay it on the ground and attack it with the shovels.
"Fallujah will be the cemetery of the Americans," shouted a man, hiding his face with a scarf.
"We are ready to kill them all. We are waiting for them to return to take these bodies and cars, and we will then cut them all to pieces. Let them come back, if they are real men," he said.
"Revenge, revenge for Saddam" Hussein, the former Iraqi leader ousted by the US-led invasion troops last spring, he shouted.
The identities of the two slain people was unknown and the US coalition had no immediate comment on the incident.
Witness Hammadi al-Issawi, 28, said a third vehicle that had been traveling with the two cars evacuated more casualties, some badly burnt.
Fallujah is a Sunni Muslim bastion that witnesses near-daily attacks on US forces, their Iraqis allies and foreigners.

Hey, this would be a great opportunity for some real-world tests for the XM-8. Maybe we should send a few NRA members over there for a "Members Convention"; we blamed for everything anyway so we might as well get some credit for doing something good.

These people are animals just like the Somalis. We're wasting our time and the lives of a lot of good soldiers trying to convert this country. Prayers for the families and may the guilty burn in hell with Allah.

If the religion these animals believe in allows them to act like subhumans, then that religion is a filthy cult.
It's past time to explain to these idiots that women don't carry the morality of life and that burning fellow humans is worse than some stray sexual act. Stoning? They should save it for these animals.
Will someone please help these people out of the middle ages? They're making the world vomit.

Level every town in the "triangle." Kill every man, woman and child or forcibley relocate them among hostile populations (Kurds and / or Shiites). Plow the ground and sow it with toxic waste. Make the triangle (even more) a desert and call it peace.
I bet we would only have to do it once.

Daisycutter time. Let's modify the Iraqi map a little and remove FALLUJAH.
Yep, we just rename the operation as "Urban Renewal." You always have to knock down a few buildings to make room for progress...

Thats what I don't understand...Saddam hated these people and killed as many as he could. Just proves my point that Islam is a religion of terror no matter who is in charge no matter who is trying to help!!!! I agree level the town and lets make dragging our soldiers through the street a very painful lesson.

Indeed. I remember reading world history texts in High School that presented Islam as a harbinger of civilisation and advanced culture. If this is "civilised" and "advanced", then i wish to return to the dignity of stone kinives and bear skins.

Let me see if I get this straight: We provide food, medicine, and public services and we are the opressors. The local yokels preovide terror, brutality, and repression and they are the liberators. Exactly when did I enter a parallel universe?

Yep, we just rename the operation as "Urban Renewal." From your lips, to the ears of the guy who is deciding what to stencil on the side of a MOAB.
Clearly, the Sunni Triangle needs a big, visible demonstration of our resolve.

You're wrong. Saddam's power base was among the Sunni Arabs in the Iraqi heartland stretching from Mosul in the north to Baghdad in the south and bounded to the east by Ar Ramadi and to the west by Falloujah. These are the people who lost their perks and privileges with the fall of the Ba'ath regime and they have no love for the Americans and they regard themselves as pure Arabs. They want to be back in the saddle and an an American inspired democracy is going to mean the end of everything they hold near and dear. So they'd rather die than be ruled by Shiites and Kurds.

In reference to the last sentence of your post, I believe that we can help them.
Another course to follow here is confinement. Build a tall, very thick wall around the area, cut-off all modern conveniences (piped water, electricity, etc.) and let these idiots kill one another for rule of their medieval paradise. Once they have butchered one another, the area gets integrated into the rest of the country. Its just a thought.

Its time to shoot everyone at the scene when this happens - the innocent who dont get out of the way qucik enough, and the islamists pigs who are doing this.
Our country better act over there before sentiments towards our domestic islamists change . . .

US Concludes Al Qaida Now Leads Insurgency in Iraq
United States military intelligence has drafted a flow chart of the Sunni insurgency linked to Al Qaida and associated groups.
Al Qaida inspired groups have taken over most of the insurgency from the loyalists of Saddam Hussein, United States officials said.
The groups adopt different names to confuse the United StateS military, but many cells have been identified with the Saudi-sponsored Wahabi movement or with Ansar Al Islam, the officials said.
