You shoulda stayed!

He does toughen up a bit in the crunch.....;)

I hear he's still dragging himself around doing "renditions".

He had about 2 bit parts on TV after that movie.

Does the song "What's The Buzz" get stuck in your head, too?.....LOL!

Peter is in the Olive Garden.

He may have had good leadership skills, but picking restaurants was NOT one of Simon Peter's strong points.

Ok, the olive garden called Gethsemane.

But I beg to differ on your appraisal of the Olive Garden restaurants. I think the food is excellent and I enjoy the chain very much. All of the chefs in those restaurants are sent to Italy to train at the cooking school the Olive Garden runs there, studying under master Italian chefs.

If Peter selected the Olive Garden, I would commend him not only for his choice of teachers, but for his cultivated tastes.

If you want to make fun of me for my ambiguous choice of phrases, then please make fun of me directly and not through the person of Peter.

sorry...it's the only Jewish word I know

Hebrew is the language. And I don't know much of it either.

;)

"Why do you want to know? Don't you mind about the future...."
LOL! That line came into my head immediately when you mentioned the song! I DO like the soundtrack!

One would get the idea from reading your post that France has done a better job of accepting Christ as a Redeemer (smirk)

Ouch! You got me there.

But I understand sub-Saharan Africa is the site of the current great awakening. The Redeemer might be acceptable there.

Shalom.

I DO like the soundtrack!

I've always loved the original record with Ian Anderson, Murray Head, Yvonne Elerman, et. al. I never appreciated what they did with it when they made the movie, except for "Could We Start Again, Please?"

I know that Rice and Webber had serious doubts about the divinity of Christ. But I think that helps the person of faith because we get to face up to those questions and make sure we know the answers.

Neither you, Simon, nor the fifty-thousand,
Nor the Romans, Nor the Jews
Nor Judas, nor the Twelve, nor the Priests, nor the Scribes,
Nor doomed Jerusalems itself
Understand what power is.
Understand what glory is.
Understand at all...
Understand at all.

Shalom.

Arrrgh.
I'm gonna hum that all day now......:-P

[it seems to me a strange thing, mystifyin'.....]

I just bought the soundtrack from Best Buy online after hunting for it locally for *years*.
Hubby has [mostly] gotten to used to listening to the "Desperado" soundtrack in the car.
Let's see what he does with -this-...LOL!

That was possibly the most beautiful, powerfully true verse on the whole album.
