Hillary to Challenge Kerry's Nomination at Convention ("He can't win")

New York - Sources high up in the Democratic National Committee say that there is a strong push for Senator Hillary Clinton to push for the presidential nomination this fall.
One senior official as the Democratic National Committee stated "I just do not believe that John Kerry can beat George W Bush. He is not gaining any traction and is even losing support as he is letting himself be defined by Bush. It's going to be Michael Dukakis all over again. We need to make sure our candidate at this convention can unite all the democrats in our party, and also defeat George Bush. The best person that can do that is Hillary Clinton.
While Hillary Clinton has strong support among democrats, republicans oppose her just as strongly. Stephen Austin is among them. "Hillary Clinton is a left-wing extremist, and that's the bottom line!" Duane Johnson, the assistant press secretary for Bush-Cheney 04, simply said "It doesn't matter who they run."
We'll keep a close eye on this situation as it develops.

I hope she does run so she can loose in an profoundly embarassing landslide. Great opportunity for many Americans to show her how much we HATE the Clintons.

I've got $1,000 dollars to put up against anyone that believes Hillary Clinton will be on the ticket come November, let alone the Presidential candidate in Kerry's place.
Please let me know if anyone wants to take this bet.

In other news, as part of her "Love the troops" campaign, Hillary was showered with roses and shouts of "We love you, Hillary!" from 82nd airborne troops whipped into a frenzy at the sight of the US Military's biggest defender and champion.
"Hillary's Iraq plan, her healthcare plan, and her championing of second ammendent rights, coupled with her slavish devotion to Family Values and Morals, makes her the US Military's choice for President in 2004," claimed 82nd public affairs officer, Harold Ickes..

If they go with this tactic, the Democrats lose a major line of attack. All that business about "Bush stole the last election", "all the votes weren't counted", etc. loses quite a bit of its punch if the Democrats nominate someone who received no primary votes whatsoever.
Of course, I personally think Bush won fair and square in 2000. But the Democrats have convinced some people that Bush stole the election.

If Hillary runs even my perma-drunk, redneck, never voted in their lives, I think I'm conservative because I'm not a pussy, friends of mine will be at the voting booth to vote against Hillary (not necassarily for Bush).

I can't see this as anything but fantasy and daydreaming by a few Dems who are sour on Kerry's chances. I can't imagine any way this could possible happen unless something physically happened to Kerry; then it is quite possible a draft-Hillary campaign could emerge. Kerry's been campaigning for over a year, and he's not going to stand down for Hillary.

And Kerry will say, "And she can win?"
I knew something was up when Clinton couldn't look Kerry in the eye at the Democrates United dinner. I just knew it.
Look for Edwards or Clark to be her running mate, and Dean is the one paving Kerry's demise.
