"Household survey is down for the second straight month."

It'll be curious to see how many of the 'household survey' proponents still want to push that number today. The household survey will be dropped for the new 'trophy index'.

LOL, and worth repeating:

In response, the HJ Heinz Corporation has this morning
announced that they are laying off 8 million employees.

Mark Haynes, resident RAT on CSNBC, just said "Isn't this just too convenient"? Stuff it you fat RAT.

Amazing that these so called market watchers could still be employed selling anything other than hotdogs. Haynes is truely a leftist. Many of the guys in that industry depend on taking advantage of others for their livelihood. Trading not on skill but on deception. Wall Street gave us Senator Hillary.

Bush may be a moderate, but it would take a lot of years and many cornflakes to get someone else elected, and the left threatens you all today. They will bring terrorism, double digit unemployment and more socialist government solutions to these shores.

When will we see what the household survey did ...

Don't worry, we'll watch both for the next seven months. And toss in the unemployment rate.

We're all doomed. Congratulations.

And how!  I was wondering why all the stocks were gapping up.  Thanks for the ping

I noticed all the bushbashers were admitting they were totally wrong about the economy- oh wait, yesterday was April Fool's Day...

"truly unemployed"

I dunno but it occurs to me that if I went to my wife and said "honey, it's just no use, I'm not looking any more" I'd soon be out of a house and a marriage.

Does anybody who really needs a job just "give up" and start living under a bridge?

Occurs to me that the "given up" is a canard created by the commies every election time. Speaking of which go find out the unemployment number during Clinton's second term election and ask yourself why the sky wasn't falling then?

The answer is obvious, to the commies that control the media the sky is always falling when a republican is running for re-election (think Reagan and the only jobs being created were "burger flipping" jobs).

If you listen to commies you'll end up with commie lies.

Looking for that cloud behind the silver lining, aren't you?

I'm sure that you're deeply saddened by these news.

They are saying unemployment is up 0.1%.

Do we know if it is up exactly 0.1%.

What is the actual rise in unemployment?

Starwind should be posting the raw numbers shortly.

You can't take away the fact that people were out of work for a long time and will never recover.

Huh!!! Getting a job will certainly allow them to recover.

Kerry's got an ad attacking Bush on jobs. It starts running today. I guess the timing could have been better.

And did anyone see that poll showing Bush up 46-40 in PENSYLVANIA!?!

Tough morning for the Dems.

MONSTER Apoplextic DemoRat Alert!! Maalox stock rises 200% in anticipation of huge sales. (Joke!)

Question --- can the human body stand the massive botox injections that it will take to erase all the furrows from Kerry's forehead after this one?

It's going to be a really tough day to be a DemoCrap shill on the screaming head shows today!! And, they may qualify for combat pay on the Sunday shows?

Looks like the lagging indicator (jobs) of a strong economic recovery has taken center stage. I believe it will continue for a while (but probably not at a 308K a month rate).

OK, GW ---- here's your chance to beat Kerry senseless with his own stick! Tell the people how Kerry's new taxes and spending plans will bring this sort of economic recovery and growth to a screeching halt. Go get him --- and don't let him up for air!!!

What about the unemployed who have no intention of working or even looking for work until they are out of unemployment benefits? There are a lot of those out there.
