Chiina isn't our friend, but India can be, if we don't piss them off over and over and over again Much of the criticism comes from a determined pro-US lobby which wants India to remain firmly in the American camp, regardless of how it is treated by the sole superpower. This lobby would want India to be a part of US policy of containing China.
