Marlene Baldwin knows business.

She learned from the best business minds in the country. Chief executive officers. Business owners. The rich and famous.

And not at any snobby East Coast business school. We're talking up close and personal. Whispered in the ear, in some cases.

So it comes as no surprise that Baldwin has been named California Businessman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee.

I can't believe they're honoring a woman who's "venture captial" came from pimpin' whores. This is really an embarassing piece for the California RINO party.

I read the entire story and it is about redemption through Christ (although the writer was very subtle about it). The woman was a sinner, a judge sentenced her to live in a convent, she spoke with the nuns, and they started to heal the hole in her soul.

She was not a prostitute until after her husband forced her to work off a $5,000 hospital bill (after a complicated pregnancy, due to an abortion a former husband forced on her).

Post-abortive women are often very self-destructive, as this woman was. I give her a lot of credit for changing her life and do not impute any wrongdoing upon the California Republican Party for acknowledging her current accomplishments.

If Jesus could welcome repentant sinners who change their ways and "sin no more", so can Freepers.
