Good find!
Mod, would it be possible to add (Tides Foundation) to the end of the title?
That might give more visiblity to searchers.

Unless Tides has padlocked parts of their site; it is one of the largest contributors to radical left-wing 'causes" in CA. They helped out (financially) so-called protestors during the first "anti-war/anti-American" riot scene in SF before we went into Iraq. They gave QUITE a nifty sum to fight Ward Connerly's recent Prop 54. The list is endless. And lessee, the Hammer project (which links to Campaign Finance Reform)... They donate to various "music" projects. I just kinda came to see them as some sort of anti-American, anti-humanity violinists, always on the scene.. In California, they and Vanguard are very much involved together in bed with liberals and Democrats.

I believe Tides funneled $250,00 for Heinz to the neo-communists at the League of Conservation Voters (LCV). Then a week later it came out in favor of Senator Ketchup.
LCV is a rabid leftist site that publishes twice weekly diatribes against Bush and Republicans. It's a Marxist propaganda factory that spews out junk science, unattributed "facts" and scurrilous opinions followed by mass mailings. If LCV had its way, America would look like the the former communist Soviet Union.
As an aside, Gov. Granholm of Michigan hired one of LCV's Marxists as her "environmental advisor," which explains her love of smart growth, soviet style five year land plans for the state and "cool" cities.
