Wipe them out. All of them.

Stop it. All of you. I've had it. Please. Enough is enough. Mass murder/genocide is not an option. Please stop calling for it. Iraq is a big pie and there are many prepared to do battle for it. We must and will defeat them.

No, I'm inferring that we better be ready for their armies to come across the borders. If this is a bigger conspiracy, that could be part of it.

Saudi Arabia recently ended a military exercise near the Iraqi border, for example.

Just tell our boys to keep a sharp eye out on the borders. As we do that, take care of these internal problems with an iron fist.

It's time to lay down the law.

If it means we can see the face of the enemy so we can kill them then I say it is a good thing.

"A bit melodramatic. More like the last gasp of the Saddam loyalists and various other Mafia like groups."

If they are killing each other as the blog states...not a prob...let them kill each other and then we step in after the smoke clears and take control...

No coverage of this on the cable news stations....

I expect when they do we will hear something like "The Administration is delighted with recent progress in establishing Democracy in the Mideast".

The last paragraph was missing (had to go back to the source to get it):

I have to admit that until now I have never longed for the days of Saddam, but now I'm not so sure. If we need a person like Saddam to keep those rabid dogs at bay then be it. Put Saddam back in power and after he fills a couple hundred more mass graves with those criminals they can start wailing and crying again for liberation. What a laugh we will have then. Then they can shove their filthy Hawza and marji'iya up somewhere else. I am so dissapointed in Iraqis and I hate myself for thinking this way. We are not worth your trouble, take back your billions of dollars and give us Saddam again. We truly 'deserve' leaders like Saddam.

A well-placed nuke strike in Teheran will silence the instigators of this problem.

Well, you've sort of covered them in "various other Mafia like groups" (that could be just about any group) but these Sadr people are definitely not Saddam loyalists.

It isn't just Saddam ramnents and the such. It is much more then that - whereas the government factories of militant Islamic death in the Arab and the Islamic world are chuggling along and sending terrorists to murder Americans in Iraq, through their brainwashing ideology against non-Muslims.

More proof that people tend to get the governments that they deserve. Let's hope the majority of Iraqis are better than this.

Maybe its the optimistic American in me, but I think the silent majority of Iraqis, like any other people in this world, just want to go to work, provide for their families, have clean drinking water, and be able to walk down the street without being killed by some lunatic probably armed and financed by another country. Joseph Farah had a piece on this topic today at worldnetdaily.com, regarding the Iranians' interference by training 40,000+ Shiite Iraqis and sending them back into the country to derail the democratization process. Sounds like there could be some truth to this. Eagles Up!!!

"You inferring their armies coming across the borders???"

Having just come back from a year over there, I can tell you there have been infiltrators from Syria and Iran. They are the ones causing most of the problems to begine with. al-Sadr and Sistani for that matter have been recieving large amounts of $$$ from the Mullah's in Terhan. Problem is that Sistani is pro Coalition, al-Sadr is not. al-Sadr is actually outranked by Sistani in the Mullah hierarchy. It's a power thing right now. It's deciding whether the people of Iraq get to decide on making their country a Democracy or letting one power hungry Islamic Cleric turn the country into Iran lite.

But to answer your original question, YES there are "soldiers" from Iran and Syria already in the country and we've already been fighting them almost fromt he time we moved across the berm. They aren't wearing uniforms but they are an organized militia. Think PLO fighters. Punks in street clothes. Then you get the idea of the "armies" the two countries are sending in.

Umm..We don't seem to have enough guys over there to "lay down the law" in just Iraq, do you think it'll help matters by attempting to add Saudi Arabia and Iran to their beat?

Hey! Remember what we did to the Germans and the Japanese in a real war. This is a real war and we better fight like it. We bombed cities in Germany and killed more Germans in those bombings than we did Japanese by nuking them! We nuked the Japanese who were fanatics like the Muslims and now they have one of the strongest economys and is a strong ally.

I heard a guy on tv say we win the war by winning the hearts and minds and thats BULLS#$T!! You win a freakin' war by defeating your enemy!

Like this band of ragged rabble can wrestle away power from the mighty United States of America!

My interpretation is that this is not an attempt to seize power from the Americans, but rather an attempt by this radical group to shove aside the more moderate elements and establish themselves as the dominant force in their region, and thereby wield power in the region after the transition.
