Yes Julie, he does need some foundation for these "theories". I hope the Prosecutor can bring up all MG's outrageous promises of exculpatory evidence and near arrests!! The fact that these things were just hot air and the import of the fact that he could never PRODUCE I would think won't be lost on the Jury.

the part I am referring to is mainly at the end where they describe Snott P being in the Strip joint the night BEFORE he was arrested and trying to get a girl to go to Mexico with him.

Precisely.
Every action and utterance of SP,
screams GUILTY to me.

Add the behaviour to the drastically changed appearance and the obvious items packed into the "new" car and you have a completed package for flight!! Guess he just wanted a little female company. Vomit!

Vomit is right.
Yep, he wanted female companionship.
Not selective at all either.
Damn he's evil.

Three more make it into jury pool

By Brian Anderson

CONTRA COSTA TIMES

REDWOOD CITY - Officials picking a jury for the Scott Peterson trial are about a third of the way through the process, picking three more people Wednesday for the final selection pool.

An aspiring camp counselor facing criminal charges, a computer systems engineer with a liberal bent and a homemaker with a Southern accent were qualified to sit on the jury.

But two, and maybe all three, likely face tough scrutiny before taking a spot on the jury panel.

Juror 6967, an unemployed, unlicensed driver with a criminal case pending down the hall from the Peterson trial, said he was negotiating a plea agreement that could lead to a felony conviction.

Convicted felons cannot serve on a jury, but Judge Alfred Delucchi tentatively qualified him because his case might end in only a misdemeanor conviction. It was not clear what charge Juror 6967 faced. He also told the court he was interviewing for a job as a summer camp counselor.

Also moving into the final round was Juror 4089, who said he was a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, MoveOn.org and other groups the juror characterized as liberal. He said he had not heard much about the Peterson case and showed in his questionnaire that he was reluctant to vote for a death sentence.

Joining them was Juror 4498. She said she could be fair to both Peterson and prosecutors, but she seemed confused when pressed on Peterson's presumption of innocence, and his right not to testify.

"If he doesn't want to talk, that's fine," she told defense attorney Mark Geragos during questioning. "Some people blow it when they talk, like me."

While qualifying the jurors, Delucchi seemed doubtful that they would ultimately make the final cut.

"Let's see if both of those jurors sit on this case," Delucchi quipped, referring to likely peremptory challenges from lawyers that would dismiss qualified jurors from the final panel.

Officials are working to find 60 to 80 people for the last phase of jury selection, currently set to begin May 13. From that group, 12 regular jurors and six alternates will be seated on the panel.

They will try to decide whether Peterson is guilty of charges that he killed his wife, Laci, 27, and the couple's unborn son. Prosecutors have said they will seek a death sentence if Peterson is found guilty of the charges.

Peterson has pleaded not guilty to the charges

Good-by to the lying dweeb from moveon.org. & ACLU.
He'd love to let SP walk.
Northern CA is infestated with democrats.
That is going to be a problem.

Message to Mark: We don't CARE about your cutesy attempt to look human. And most normal 10-yr-old boys have too much pride to be seen holding Daddy's hand as though they hadn't ever been taught how to cross a street.

I read the part about the stripper. Interesting, to remember that at this time. Thanks for the transcript!

PS I also read a few other parts of that LKL transcript, and I must say, Janie Weintraub is ugly even when it's just her words printed on a page.

You know it is interesting that Scott's bail hearing was postponed and then Geragos never asked to have it rescheduled.

A very good point.

That little caper with the kid is to attempt to endear himself (MG) with the Jury. He must know by now the most people can't stand him. If the kid was older and maybe interested in going into law (say college age), I could see it, not a 10 year old.

I agree about the ACLU dweeb. However, a lot of these Northern California democrats seem to think Peterson is guilty. That's okay by me. If they didn't the only explanation could be stupidity.

They'd better lean toward thinking he's guilty.
All it takes is one of twelve.
