Ummm...do we have a civilian (contractor) fighting alongside us, or is that one of our journalists...or what? An 'operator'?

Sorry.
I don't identify heroes or embedded photogs for the usual reasons.

Also, the dude who went over from Iraqi Police to enemy side had better worry. Coalition G-2 people sure got a clear look at that scumbag's face. I'd say his days of policework for the Coaltion are over.....

I was thinking the same thing. In fact, Iraqi policemen who carry arms against the U.S. need to visit Gitmo.

One of the Iraqi police/military our Marines have been training for the last four months, I'd expect. Reports were that in excess of a thousand of them accompanied our Marines. The blue police bulletproof vest is likely rated only to stop pistol caliber bullets, not AK rounds. Better than nothing, I guess....

A little gratitude would be nice. Obviously, these thugs don't remember what life was like 13 months ago. They were all cowering in their mud huts, worrying that the Ba'athists were coming for them in the middle of the night. This fat b***ard al-Sadr has been livin' in the lap of luxury while his mindless followers were worring about Saddam and the kids. I'ts about time these alledged coalition-supporting Iraqis voiced their displeasure about these worthless insurgents, since I keep hearing about the 80% of the population that are glad we're there. And of course, some of our more gutless fellow Americans are losing heart again, already. Yet again, al Quaeda possibly influencing a national election. Well, W's heart was in the right place, anyhow. Those subhuman Iraqis are thumbing their noses at him now. Yep, glad to be of service again.

Just found out from my sister that my nephew is in Fallujah right now. He is in the Marines. He was in Iraq early last year, and came home to a new son.

Here's his photo from last year thanks to the Orange County, CA, Register, who has kept the photo in its archives.

Prayers, please.

There is something almost "3-D" about this pic. Very strange.
