Who issued this warrant? My understanding that the murder of the cleric was even before we invaded Iraq.

"There is currently a warrant out for Sadrs’ arrest for the murder of a rival Shiite cleric."

The murder of Al Khoei happened right after we took Iraq. He was a very pro-American cleric who had been living in London and worked relentlessly to help the Shiia and bring their plight to the world. He was one of the good guys. Remember the guy who was attacked and stabbed to death at the Mosque? That was him.

The new Iraqi court system appointed a judge to investigate the murder and he's been working on it a long time. When Sadars right hand man was arrested, he knew his days were limited and that's why he started the uprising when he did. It was to save his butt.
