I used to live in Houston. Thieves and other criminals sometimes get "instant rehabilitation" there. Then Johnny Holmes does his investigation - "Yep, there was a break and enter, and the perp got caught (words to that effect)" - end of investigation.
Didn't the AG of South Carolina (a dem?) issue an order to prosecutors one time not to prosecute any one who shoots an intruder during a B&E? I think his statement was "It is now open season on home invaders". Home invasions dropped almost instantly.
