[history]
April 9, 2004 -- THE liberals and Democrats on the 9/11 commission are using the public hearings to develop a plotline about the months leading up to the attacks - a plotline whose purpose is to harm George W. Bush's chances for reelection, help John Kerry's chances and whitewash the Clinton administration's failures.

"According to the liberal plotline, the Bush administration knew that attacks were coming and failed to act."Condoleezza Rice was a splendid example of capability, ethics, honesty, clarity, elegance, courage, leadership--and forbearance.
The Democrat politicians on the "committee" revealed themselves to be dishonest Neanderthal political hacks.
It was obvious that their "questions" were carefully rehersed and that their only purpose was to advance a self-serving agenda. A quest for truth was of absolutely no consideration to them.
There is no depth to which this scum will not sink. Just when you think these Democrat vermin have reached rock bottom, they manage to slither further into the depths of the sewer.
My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all Democrats. My children are all Republicans.

Yeah, because that's what we need in Washington - more meetings! A Freeper once pointed out (I wish I could remember who because I thought it was a great line) that a big difference between liberals and conservatives is that, when faced with a problems, conservatives start working to solve it, while liberals call a big meeting so everyone has a chance to bloviate!

My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all Democrats. My children are all Republicans. Same here! I think this next generation is more well informed about the liberal agenda than previous ones. Well, the ones with BRAINS who've learned to think for themselves, at least.

According to the liberal plotline, the Bush administration knew that attacks were coming and failed to act. Had it acted, the 9/11 plot might have been "interrupted," to quote one of the commissioners. One thing I know for sure, in my gut, is that if George W. Bush had known that madmen were going to fly airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, he would have done anything to stop them--including grabbing a fighter and shooting the SOBs down himself.

This "The Commission" is a hoax.
Commissioners Richard Ben-Veniste, Bob Kerrey, Jamie Gorelick and Tim Roemer reenacted the message and drama of that book "Animal Farm".
Their "altar of worship" the "SYSTEM" is broken, and they need to find a scapegoat.

My oldest son was married this past fall. At the rehearsal dinner my husband gave the customary speech to the assembled guests. He extolled on how wonderfully our three kids turned out and how proud we are of them and then said "and one of the things that makes me proudest" and he paused "is that they are all Republicans!" Lots of laughter but not from 2 of the spouses.

I saw that cover too. The Post is OK in my book!
If you happened to watch ABC, CBS, NBC/MSNBC or CNN after Rices testimoney, you would have seen the 'other' version.
I made it a point to only watch the 'biased news' after Rice's testimony. I had seen it live on FOX earlier. It was as if the DNC had coached them all on how to play it.
Un-fu_king-believable! I truly fear for this country.

"My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all Democrats."
I'm afraid a lot of us have/had "yellow dog democrats" for relatives. They all went through the Depression and FDR (who STILL walks on water, in their opinions). Some of MY older relatives, who also loved JFK, are beginning to realize that the current batch of democrats are NOT the old-time variety. This group is so leftist they are borderline socialists.

My mother became a staunch Republican a few years before she died in her mid-70's. If my father, grandparents, and great grandparents were alive today, they would repudiate the present Democrat Party and everything it stands for--immediately and in no uncertain terms.

Condie was at her best when she made clear that the United States Government is incapable of infallibility.
Somebody needed to say it because the 9/11 Commissioners are setting an impossible high bar.
They will attack again and they will kill more Americans on US soil.

Here's a little story on my end...my youngest just turned 16 last week. She's a good debater and not shy, so everyone pretty much knows her views on things. So anyway, a kid in her class got her a book as a birthday present -- it's called something like "The Official VRWC Handbook." and it's great! It's got all kinds of arguments to use against the "looney left," i.e., gun control, Iraq, Saddam Hussein, etc.
It's just the kind of book I've been looking for, so now we're fighting over whose turn it is to read it! But I can't complain, 'cause my daughter's a conservative -- Yea!
