I have become a crotchety,private person and yes I'm a Roman Catholic also. My sunday best is a old red Gundamwing tee. However, not dressing up would be VERBOTEN. My mother is an old fashioned Caribbean Catholic and wearing sneakers would give her a heart attack!

It seems not a matter of showing wealth, but of showing respect through good grooming and cleanliness. Of course, the poor and dirty are welcome too, but the rest of us have fewer excuses for rolling into church with bedhead and dirty jeans... I prefer dressing up as well.
