An aside:

I was working on my car at his house on Saturday and was removing a brake caliper (all you need to know is that this is the part that does the squeezing; it is exposed to extreme frictional heat).

A bolt was seized (by the heat) so badly that when I put all my strength into it to loosen it, it sheared off. The bolt broke rather than loosening.

It was the first time I spontaneously used his method, and it worked rather well.

I landed on the pavement; and looking at the broken bolt, I just laughed: "All I can say is wow!"

I hate to admit it, but I have yet to see these lovely ladies on the tube. I did a Google image search, but misspelled her name as "Kristen Breitwieser". Do a Google image search and see who pops up.

Their husbands are dead and gone... early victims in the War. But they were not the first, nor the last. Good men died in Lebanon, in Somalia, in Saudia Arabia, on the USS Cole, in Kenya, and Tanzania. Perhaps they were good men with good marriages, and perhaps not. We now know the smarmy character of some of their wives, and unfortunately they are these men's epitaph. But, that being said, they are gone now. Our sympathies are with the silent survivors. But, my scorn is with these 'Victim-a-tons.' This story no longer involves them. It is about my wife, and my child, and those Americans that survive, and that are at risk, and whose lives are only further endangered by the words and actions of these woman. Their husbands may or may not be with God in Heavan, but they most certainly can go to Hell if they insist on endangering my family with their agenda rhetoric.

"Ms. Breitweiser said, by way of explaining the group's position, "why our husbands were killed. Why they went to work one day and didn't come back."

There is such a thing as God's plan. He is the only one who determines an earthlings time of death...not President Bush or anyone else.

It's up to our Maker as to when He decides our time is up!

The right sentiment, if not long overdue. These women need to go home and FINALLY face their grief. What they don't get is that people die unjust deaths every single day.....and they are not given financial security for life, or congressional hearings, or endless appearances with every wannabe talking red (er, uh "HEAD") with a morning show.

They were not political experts prior to this event, and are not now. Instead of taking the opportunity to lead by example they are lashing out at everyone who has offered compassion. They are offering aide and comfort to the killers responsible for their loss, and some days it seems they do everything in their power to undercut the President's efforts, the troops, and even other Americans who also suffered a tremendous loss on 9/11.

Because they don't get it, they are practically guaranteeing a "next time." Perhaps the Freeper community needs to find a way to let these ladiers know their behavior is inappropriate, boorish and inflammatory. They are just in their anger, but incredibly misguided in who they should be angry with. Then, perhaps I am just so over this travesty of a hearing that I can no longer think straight. After ten minutes of the Rice perspective, I am beyond fed up at the morons feeding this frenzy. When all is said and done, there will STILL be thousands dead, the people responsible will STILL be lower on the target list than the President who has done an admirable job at TRYING to drive the point home that you are either WITH or AGAINST us....and I will STILL be haunted by the same thought.... with enemies like the dims....and rather tepid rino response, do we even have a fighting chance of survival? Not only are the terrorists after us, it seems a large portion of our own citizens want to make it easier for them . Why?!?

KRISTEN BREITWEISER: I would say that after the next terrorist attack, Director Mueller, Director Tenent, National Security Advisor Rice, Vice President Cheney, and President Bush, will you be able to put your heads on your own pillow that evening and sleep soundly, knowing that you did everything in your power to prevent the damage of the next attack? And really, really honestly, within your own self, be able to find rest and peace that evening?

Whether willingly, consciously, or not, they are being used as tools of the Imperial Media. Once the hearings are over, and the polls show that the Commissioners' antics are backfiring, these women will be unceremoniously dropped by the Chris Matthews and the Katie Courics of the world.

What I'd like to see is the conservative media (commentators, Fox, WSJ, etc.) take on the Imperial Media for choosing these particular four women when there were 3000 families that suffered a similar loss. I mean, the reason is obvious, but when will the Imperial Media be called on the carpet?

"Kristen Breitweiser On Today Summed It All Up..."

"The White House has made a cost benefit judgment and is more willing to take the heat for Rice not appearing than to let her appear and be subject to questions which would uncover what the President knew and when he knew it."

To me, that's the crux of their judgment and Richard Clarke has thrown a very big monkey wrench into their cost benefit analysis. They thought the hearings would be buried from the public and they could skate, depending once more on the ignorance and entertainment- drugged stupor of the American citizenry. Fortunately, the brilliantly timed book release, Sixty Minutes appearance has served as a springboard to heighten interest in Clarke's testimony and put the Adminstration's stonewalling strategy at very grave risk of unraveling and their plan to leverage Bush's great war leadership in doubt.

"I blame the entire Bush leadership for continuing to work on Cold War issues when they back in power in 2001. It was as though they were preserved in amber from when they left office eight years earlier. "--Richard Clarke

Yes, I'm sorry for their losses, but no way does that entitle them to demand that lower Manhattan essentially be turned into a necropolis on which nothing can ever again be built.

Never have a neurotic, meglomanic few ever so placed their obsessions on the tragedy of many.
