Yes --I wonder when Chrissy Matthews will have Ted Olson or Lisa Beamer on to ask them about their reaction to the 9/11 Commission and whether or not they think Bush owes them an apology.

I won't hold my breath.....

I agree completely.

It is obvious to me that they are 1)Doing anything in their power to demean President Bush, and 2)Relishing their ability to pander to a partisan media that is more than willing to expand their "15 minutes of fame" for political reasons.

Where did I say that terrorism started under Clinton? We all know that it didn't start then -- but it escalated then, and the REPEATED lack of response to increasingly daring and bloody attacks emboldened them.

The FACT is that he had the knowledge of what had happened during the previous 2 administrations and the FACT that the attacks were increasing, and he CHOSE to be far more concerned with covering up the oral sex he got from an intern and saving his job than with dealing with terrorism.

My "agenda" is that I resent him waddling around Manhattan a couple of weeks after the attacks, stopping passersby so that he could lecture them all about how he really, really, really, really and I do mean REALLY tried to "get" UBL. I also resent how he and his hideous family did their level best to try to make this all about themselves. I don't recall the Bush and Reagan families inserting themselves into every tragedy, do you?

Now, what is *your* agenda?

"And you would admit that our initial funding and training of Bin Laden and his followers, and support of Hussein also played a role in the WTC and terror in general?"

Yes I would.

"Everyone who feels the need to say "it's his fault not his fault" is simply playing politics."

Agreed. That's why this 9-11 commission is such a load of bull. As was the President's press conference last night. The WH Press Corpse kept asking "are you still beating your wife?" questions.

They need to take a look at Lisa Beamer, how she handled her loss with such grace and sought comfort in the Lord.

Exactly right. Lisa was the epitamy of class, unlike the Jersey winches, who disgrace themselves by playing politics over their husband's graves.

Sickening.

Yep. It's disappointing to see conservatives ridicule those who try to blame the current Administration, only to turn around and take the same actions regarding the Clinton Admin.

The FACT is that he had the knowledge of what had happened during the previous 2 administrations

Here's another FACT for you:

This in turn means that Bush Sr. had the knowledge of what happened during the previous administration. Do you hate and blame him too?

Understand who the enemy is. It's not Clinton, or Bush Sr., Bush Jr., or Reagan. It's terrorists.

Next time we're attacked will you look to assign blame again to Clinton or will you realize that you're under attack from people that hate you?

The terrorists must think it's hysterical that we blame each other while they plot our demise. Don't you understand that to them there is zero difference between the Left and the Right in this country. We're all part of Satan to them.

I too am a New Yorker who knew some that died. If you're going to absolve Bush and blame Clinton why stop there? Do you also blame Bush Sr. or Reagan? Our history with terrorism did not start under Clinton no matter how much you want to believe that.

What you say is true. This terrible tragedy has been gradually building in America for about 25 years now, and before 9/11 nobody took it nearly as seriously as they should have.

But now we finally do realize the serious nature of the threat and are doing something about it, and a lot of these same people are crying about the methods we're finally using to solve the problem. There's just no satisfying some folks.

We are in the middle of WWIII and idiots on both sides are still treating this like a child's game of "He did it".

Insufferable morons on both sides.

By the way, I forgot to say before to you that I think it's okay for us to disagree among ourselves on the methods of fixing the problem. This is still America and the voicing of differing opinions is still allowed.

Personally I would have gone after the Saudis and other states that openly support and promote fundamentalist Islam rather than the evil but secularly run Iraq. To me countries like Iran pose a far greater risk to us than Iraq ever did.

However, I don't blame Bush for his tactics. I blame those that are trying to annihilate us.

More pictures:

Members of a support group of September 11 widows, from left, Mindy Kleinberg, Krisiten Breitweiser, Patricia Casazza and Lorie Van Auken, pose in New Jersey, Thursday, May 16, 2002. Some relatives of September 11 victims, like Breitweiser, are seething over revelations that President Bush got advance warnings, not shared with the public, that Osama bin Laden's terror network might hijack U.S. planes. Breitweiser said she became convinced shortly after the attacks that U.S. authorities mishandled cluesthat could have helped avert the carnage. (AP Photos/Daniel Hulshizer)

And my favorite:

'After 3,000 people were murdered on his watch, it seems to me that that takes an awful lot of audacity. Honestly, it's in poor taste.' - Kristen Breitweiser, with her husband's ring.

They are now rich Jersey girls who have more time and money than sense. At the same time they received their million dollar plus payments from the USG to compensate them for the loss of their loved ones, US military personnel were being killed in Afghanistan going after the perpetrators of 9/11. Their families received a comparative pittance for their loss.

Why aren't the Jersey Girls blaming the INS for allowing 19 terrorists into the country?

Because everything the government did until January 21, 2001 was without flaw. And everything the governmend did between January 21, 2001 and September 11, 2001 was completely wrong.

The terrorists were allowed into the country before January 21, 2001, therefore that action is, by definition, not subject to criticism.

But you knew the answer to your own question, didn't you?

Since you are incapable of discussing this without derisive namecalling, I want nothing more to do with you. Perhaps one day you will grow up and become capable of discussion without insults. But until then, I can only wish FR has a bozo filter.

Statements like that of Monica Gabrielle, for example (not one of the Jersey Girls, though an activist of similar persuasion), who declared that she could discern no attempt to lessen the casualties on Sept. 11. What can one make of such a description of the day that saw firefighters by the hundreds lose their lives in valiant attempts to bring people to safety from the burning floors of the World Trade Center - that saw deeds like that of Morgan Stanley's security chief, Rick Rescorla, who escorted 2,700 employees safely out of the South Tower, before he finally lost his own life?

I will NEVER forget the response of the firefighters, NYPD, and heroes like Rick Rescorla. They gave their own lives to save as many people as they could. How could anyone have missed their sacrifice?

And who among us will ever forget Todd Beamer and other Americans fighting back to keep their plane from becoming a fourth fuel bomb. We'll never know how many lives were saved by their heroic actions.

I'm sorry Monica Gabrielle lost her husband on 9-11. Bin Laden, the 19 hijackers, and their fellow terrorists did not attack her husband, per se… they attacked America… they attacked all of us. And they are still plotting to deliver as much death and destruction as they can get away with.

From August 1940 to May 1941, the Luftwaffe's nightly terror bombings killed 43,000 British men, women and children.

What I want to know is when is Churchill going to apologize for this?

Are the Jersey Girls just hard core Democrats using their personal tragedy to blame Bush?

There is a thread somewhere (sorry -- I'm at work and can only do this sporadically) stating that some Freeper Googled the names (esp. Breitweiser) and found she and soe others were long-term Dem activitists.

I've also read on FR recently that their group (what is it "Peaceful Tomorrows" or some schmaltz like that?) is funded by the Tides Foundation, which is in turn funded by the Heinz Foundation (there may be more than one) that is run by Teresa Heinz Kerry.

I was a bit surprised that Rabinowitz didn't have either of these points in her article.
