I am a widow too, but my spouse was lost to cancer, in the hands of Doctors. After the death I felt that the doctors maybe didn't good job, but I soon came to my senses that the real killer was the cancer and there was nothing that anybody could have done to prevent it .

I know that if I had tried to pin the death on doctors negligence, I would have found ears of sympathy with many because there are those who reject the concept that evil exists, such that death is part of the battle and the war is not to be won between flesh and blood but between the principalities of darkness.

These widows have no concept of the spiritual darkness which was the real killer of their loved ones.

Two thoughts come to mind.

1) Are the Jersey Girls just hard core Democrats using their personal tragedy to blame Bush?

2) Look in contrast to Fred Goldman who endured the murder of his son by OJ Simpson and Simpson's subsequent acquittal in the circus trial. Goldman did not blame the Governor, the President, the Prosecutors (who deserved some blame), the police etc. His blame was focused entirely on the murderer and to the lawyers who turned the trial into a sham.

I just visited ground Zero this weekend and have some good pictues. I would post a couple but I don't know how.

Anyway, while I walked I felt such sorrow until I saw that cross that they found in the rubble. It was Gods way of telling us that he is there for us. I was comforted just looking at it. I suggest all of you visit NY if only to go there.

But what is also commonly seen with grieving people, is the need to blame someone. And the desire to get in that person's face and tell them how you feel. The terrorists are dead. These women can't get in their faces. Bin Laden?....Who knows if he's dead or alive, but his invisibility makes him similar to being dead. So, who's left? Well, if you're a democrat, it leaves Bush and his administration.
Certainly the vast majority of people affected by Sept. 11th are dealing with their grief in other ways.
I just thought I'd try seeing these women with a different perspective. Maybe 'cause I'm tired of hearing the same record myself.

We have a historical record that is replete with incidences of al Qaeda and terrorists possibly using planes as missiles.

Do you remember that Niteline show years ago where they spent a week discussing the US being hit with chemical weapons .. I do and others in the media did the same thing .. Not once do I remember hearing about planes being used as missiles

BREITWEISER: I think what really initially started was I saw the picture of the president in, I think it was “Newsweek” or “Time” magazine, and I read the caption. And the caption said, you know, “Andy Card telling the president about the second plane.” And then I read that he proceeded to read for 25 minutes to the 2nd-graders. He was in a Sarasota school that morning for a reading program.

And I read it again, and I thought it was, you know, misreported. And it wasn’t, and I got upset. I said, you know, this nation was under attack. It was clear that we were under attack. Why didn’t the Secret Service whisk him out of that school? He was on live local television in Florida. The terrorists, you know, had been in Florida. I mean, we find out that out now. He was less than 10 miles from an airport.

DONAHUE: Right.

BREITWEISER: And I-I am concerned. I want to know why the Secret Service did not whisk him away. I want to know why he is the commander-in-chief of the United States of America, our country was clearly under attack, it was after the second building was hit. I want to know why he sat there for 25 minutes.

DONAHUE: Two took off from Boston, one from Dulles.
BREITWEISER: Right. And I think that I have a lot of problems with the Pentagon. I don’t understand how a plane could hit our Defense Department, which is the Pentagon, an hour after the first plane hit the first tower. I don’t understand how that is possible.

I’m a reasonable person. But when you look at the fact that we spend a half trillion dollars on national defense and you’re telling me that a plane is able to hit our Pentagon, our Defense Department, an hour after the first tower is hit? There are procedures and protocols in place in this nation that are to be followed when transponders are disconnected, and they were not followed on September 11th.

DONAHUE: Tell me about what your-what’s-what is September 11th Advocates all about? What do you want to happen?

BREITWEISER: At this point, we are fighting for an independent investigation, an investigation into 9/11 removed from the political process. We don’t feel comfortable with Congress investigating itself, basically. You have congressional committees that had oversight duties with the FBI and the CIA. We want politics removed. We want pure accountability, and we feel that an independent investigation is needed to have that.

We’ve had independent investigations with regard to Pearl Harbor, with regard to the shuttle accident. If there’s a car accident, you have an investigation. We have waited 11 months, and I think it is deplorable that these women and myself have to leave our children, our homes, and go down to Washington and beg for answers. To have the right to have answers, we have to beg. And it’s disgusting.

I have read some of the emails that Kristen has sent to people who have written their commission.

As a person who has suffered a traumatic loss myself, I can tell you that she is making herself insane; she most likely will never, ever be "right" again.

She's has begun to grieve, nor to go through any of the processes that it takes to pull yourself out of that.

IMO, she is doomed. When these hearings are over, her reason for existing will be gone.

One can only imagine how a broadcast of the warning, "Watch out for Middle Eastern men in line near you, as you board your flight," would have gone down in those quarters of the culture daily worried to death about the alleged threat to civil rights posed by profiling and similar steps designed to weed out terrorists. Consider, a veteran political aide mordantly asks, what the response would have been if John Ashcroft had issued a statement calling for such a precaution, prior to Sept. 11.

Prior? how about AFTER?
The PC morons continue to refuse to allow screening of passengers based on profiling. Instead we flail around, torturing little old ladies, veterans with prosthetic hips and moms traveling with little kids. God forbid we concentrate on the people LIKELY to try and repeat the atrocity.
