Kristen's response to my e-mail:

first, i never expected nor wanted anyone's sympathy.

second, many 9/11 families use support services.

third, since you have decided that the 9/11 commission is "no longer" being productive in their investigation, i must ask you when you started following the work of the commission? what spawned your interest? have you been following our work for the last 2 years? or have you just been interested in the commission lately?

fourth, were you in attendance at the hearing? have you attended all the hearings? have you read all the transcripts from the hearings? did you watch any of the televised hearings in their entirety? what are you basing this belief on? is this your own informed decision/opinion? and, have you visited our website and read our press releases?

fifth, i am totally 100% self-funded. i would be happy to send you my cab receipts, hotel receipts, train tickets, gas receipts, and toll receipts. and where are you getting the heinz foundation question from? the allegation has been proven false because it is false. frankly, rush limbaugh is bordering on a lawsuit if he doesnt watch his erroneous statements.

sixth, in order to get interviewed by reporters, most often you have to be in attendance at the hearings. probably, because reporters are asking questions about the substance of the hearings. ironically, the people that seem to be complaining have attended few--if any hearings. i would encourage everyone to attend the hearings. they are extremely educational. they prove that democracy does work. thank god for that, afterall that is why we are in iraq, right?

seventh, once again i implore you to do some research. the 9/11 families have no right to sue. our rights to hold anyone accountable were taken from us by the airline bailout bill on 9/20/01. to quote the special master of the vcf, "it was the only game in town."...(and p.s. i do get offended when people refer to 9/11 or anything associated with it as a game.)

eighth, i voted for President Bush because i thought he would be a better president than al gore. when someone takes an oath of office, they take an oath to lead, protect and serve. i only wish all of our elected officials remembered that oath leading up to, on, and post 9/11. will i vote for my President again? check back with me in october.

ninth, my child's nickname is smiley--because my child is always smiling. my child is the happiest, most content child you could imagine. i promised myself when my husband was killed that i owed it to him to make sure that my child never lost that glimmer in the eye, that sparkling infectious little giggle that my child had even as an infant...to date, my child hasnt lost that smile, that giggle, that sparkle--my child is my ray of sunshine...i wish more people understood the importance of making children safe and happy...i dont have a nanny. i dont have a babysitter. i take my child with me when i can. when i can't my child stays with family. but, thanks for asking. honestly, i could care less what anyone thinks of me, what i care about is what my child will think of me when my child is older--that is what matters to me. what matters to you?

instead of attacking people for having a different viewpoint. why not try respectful disagreement followed by respectful dialogue. it is a nice concept.

take good care, kristen.

After I responded to her with valid counters to her comments and pointed out that I never attacked her, only disagreed with her, she wrote:

i noticed your email address. should i assume that your emails reflect the official company policy of XXXXXXX?

This last e-mail gave me the most insight into the inner workings of her mind...agree with me or I'll threaten you! Now I start to wonder how she and her buddies were able to get this commission in the first place...same tactics?

Note the same tactic with the Rush comment: and where are you getting the heinz foundation question from? the allegation has been proven false because it is false. frankly, rush limbaugh is bordering on a lawsuit if he doesnt watch his erroneous statements.

From www.september11th.org:

"9/11 widow Ellen Mariani has filed a lawsuit against Bush and other White House officials, charging them with complicity in the September 11th terrorist attacks. Mrs. Mariani has refused the $1 million in pay-off money from the government-allocated 9/11 compensation fund."

Kristen Breitweiser referred to Dr. Rice as a liar or incompetent. She restated that opinion to her new best friend, Chris Matthews, after Dr. Rice testified publicly.

Evidently Kristen has a direct line to pent peniste and considers his interpretation of the facts as gospel.

As to her description of her child being smiley.......perhaps if she continues to be absent the child will continue to smile. Her vicious countenance is hardly something that would make any child smile, other than that of her absence.

I have read some other emails that she has sent to another Freeper. First of all, what time was your email written from her? Evidently she stays up 24/7 from what I have seen.

She has some major problems, IMO. Having had a traumatic death in my family, I can tell you she is nowhere near where she needs to be mentally at this point in her grief.

I predict that when the 9-11 Commission is over, she will have nothing else to live for.

Did you ask her how she became to be a voter for Bush as her father, John Winterstrella, has been a Democratic major of a New Jersey borough for 20 plus years as well as an Environmental activist supported by folks like the Sierra Club?

When will she realize that it was the WHOLE country that was attacked .. not just the people in the WTC

Yes I have children .. Yes I am concerned about the their future and Yes I have been following these hearings

How DARE she think that unless one had a loved one killed on 9/11 they don't follow what's been going on

Howlin . I agree with you .. when the 9-11 Commission is over, she will have nothing else to live for and will have som big problems

I feel sorry for her
