Zebra born without the stripes
Nairobi,Kenya ^
Posted on 04/14/2004 8:39:08 AM PDT by cyborg
Veterinarians have yet to determine the gender of the baby zebra and give it a name but have determined that it is about 4 weeks old. The purebred zebra is also apparently fitting in with its black and white herd and can be seen hopping and prancing around.
Experts do not plan to take the zebra away from its mom or the herd but plan to study it as it grows up.
Some zebras are endangered because they are hunted for their meat and skins, according to a report.

Take a zebra and remove the stripes and you have got yourself a pony.

Al Gore said you can't change a leopard's stripes. Guess this is close.

It looks more burro than zebra. It's coat is fluffy like a burro's.

Interesting, but I guess it is asking too much for the reporter to tell us what color the baby is. Black, White, Beige...................

Actually, it's a little known fact that there are two types of zebras - white with black stripes, and black with white stripes.
Looks likes the mating pair was of opposite types to me.

I am surprised he didn't exclaim the lack of stripes is George W. Bush's fault.

Breaking News! PETA reports.. Striped Zebras eat MORE than plain zebras! Probably because there are more striped ones than plain ones.

That stands to reason. They are a "kangaroo court" already. Why not branch out to stripe-less zebras?

Just how are some zebra's endangered because they are hunted for their meat and skins? That phrase makes no sense?
