Need FReeper help here. Someone who can go back to prior media stories about these meetings and how US intel was forced to spend time chasing record and movie counterfiters.

This could be big in mainstream media!

In a Washington meeting with the heads of various FBI , CIA, Sate Department and Department of Commerce divisions, Clinton completely redirected America’s intelligence services away from the fight against terrorism. The indebted President declared that software piracy was the greatest threat to America. He directed the agencies to shift their focus away from anti-terrorism toward protecting the business interests of his Hollywood friends.

With just one Presidential level meeting, the nation’s most powerful agencies were told stop worrying so much about terrorism and direct their attention to protecting the bank accounts of the Hollywood producers.

Instead of worrying about Saddam, the FBI and CIA were to concern themselves with the fortunes of Sunset Boulevard. Wahabbi sect terrorism was now less important than Warner Brothers. If they had to make a choice between pursuing Al Queda or copyright pirates, protecting SKG and the other the movies makers got the nod.

Check out Executive Order 13103, dated September 30 1998, signed by WJC himself, on the subject of computer software privacy.

Anyone have the link to this important info. Or is it one link? Jeepers, I'd enjoy circulating it to people in my email address book.

Well, we know, US INTEL under Bubbafucco wasn't tied up catching NUCLEAR WEAPON SECRETS being transfered to the Communist Chinese or guarding our most secret of Nuclear secrets at Los Alamos.

>>...Clinton severely cut both manpower and technical resources within America’s two agencies tasked with fighting terrorism...<<

Not only that but, if you recall, his administration mandated that the spy agencies couldn't use "criminals" as double agents.

This drastically reduced our ability to infiltrate known terror groups.

This could be big in mainstream media!

Considering they've known about it for over 5 years, I doubt it.

Here a very condemning article in the WSJ.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/621934/posts

This google search shows that cyberterrorism was more of a concern than REAL terrorism with the toon. http://www.google.com/search?as_q=software+piracy+clinton&num=100&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=terrorist+terrorism&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images

Mindbender, our own Alamo-Girl and FReepers put themselves to the task to document as much as they could about Clinton's actions and non-actions. They are compiled in the Down Side Legacy threads. Jewels are in there just waiting to be mined!

There are some folks here, Alamo-Girl, who might benefit from your perspective!

Couldn't be! We all know Hollywood hates capitalism and it's promoters, so how could anyone possibly think they'd be interested in protecting their profits? /sarcasm off

Hi, Please take a moment and either call the President or send an email to let him know we, the American people back him. Also, if you could just tell one person to do the same and ask them to tell another, than God willing, we will flood the switchboard with calls and faxes like they have never seem. This is one way we can take it direct to the President and it can not be misled by the media or stupid polls.....
Please call or email and God bless:

>>>>In every major city, and everywhere on the Internet, copy pirates were selling bootleg copies of theatrical releases. The problem was costing Hollywood billions of dollars a year. But Hollywood had bought a friendly ear in the White House, and Clinton was about to pay off his debt to his Left Coast liberal friends.

Sounds like the billboard issue with McG.

God I love downloading movies and music!

It's especially fun to get movies before they are released to theaters ;-)
