Kerry Won't Release Tax Info on Teresa's Treasure

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry vacations in multimillion-dollar mansions, owns a $700,000 yacht, rides exotic Italian motorcycles and helps finance it all with a millions in annual income from family investments in Heinz Foods.

But Kerry's campaign won't release one iota of tax information on the jackpot that keeps him living in style, because he files his tax return separately from his wife, ketchup heiress Teresa "Don't Call Me Mrs. Kerry" Heinz.

Of course, none of this bothers the partisan press, which blithely reported on Mr. Kerry's tax filing yesterday without noting that the bulk of his income comes from "separate" sources, and that tax info on the Kerry family's main cash stash will remain top secret.

To hear the media tell it, the Massachusetts Democrat manages to get by on a relatively meager $395,338 annual salary, on which he paid $90,575 in taxes.

But mum's the word on the tax status of America's first lady in waiting, Teresa Heinz, whose holdings approach three-quarters of a billion dollars.

Is America entitled to know the taxable details of Teresa's treasure? You be the judge.

When Kerry's campaign was headed down the toilet last December, suddenly the missus' income didn't sound so separate. Hubby John simply mortgaged "his half" of the Beacon Hill mansion she had purchased with her ketchup cash years before.

Then there was the couples' vacation last month, which saw the candidate schussing down the slopes in Ketchum, Idaho, before retiring for the evening in Teresa's $5 million ski chalet.

According to the Fox News Channel, Teresa's current holdings in the Heinz Foods Empire continue to net a pretty-penny - "up to $20 million" per year.

Mr. Kerry's $150,000 Senate salary, is, by comparison, pocket change.

So how much of their actual household income do Mr. and Mrs. Kerry fork over to the IRS? As far as the pro-Democrat press is concerned, the answer seems to be, don't ask, don't tell.

Yeah, he should. All candidates are supposed to file a Financial Disclosure Form ("Form 6").

I'm wondering if he has to disclose tax-exempt personal income. Surely he's got quite a bit of that.

Legally probably not. Ethically, of course.

There is a question, however, if he lives beyond his reported means, whether she is making illegal campaign contributions to him.

It's understandable why the AFL-CIO is having trouble convincing the rank and file to vote for Kerry. Asking hard working laboring people to vote for a guy with a five million dollar ski chalet who claims his goal is to help the working person....yeah right.

No, Kerry does not have to release his wife's tax filings. In fact, he doesn't have to release his own tax filings.

john F'n kerry is still trying to sell the illusion that he's one of the little guys. teresa's fortune will make him look like a fortune hunter and a gigolo. He'll fight this to the bitter end and then claim it's an invasion of his privacy.

Does the ketchup queen think she can hide behind Lurch all the way to November? Someone ought to tell her the way the process works...

Kerry's Finacial Disclosure Forms do provide this info. Check this link:

Lots of good info. Much of the Teresa Heinz' trusts is invested overseas.

If there's any justice in this world, she'd going to be waiting a mighty long time.

And that's if he doesn't tip, which is a safe guess. You may recall that on his '93 return Mr. Compassion earned over $130,000 and gave a whopping $175 to charity.

As each month passes between now and the election in November, more of this kind of thing will come out.

The shear arrogance being displayed by the Junior Senator from France is stunning.

Then again, its also why he isn't liked by those in his own party.

Wait a minute, I just reviewed Kerry's tax return and I found a HUGE mistake. That $150.000 should have been listed as UNEARNED INCOME. He has been AWOL from his job since Jan 03.

"So how much of their actual household income do Mr. and Mrs. Kerry fork over to the IRS?"

I am sure however much they make, being the good Demoncrats they are, they do not take advantage of the "Tax cuts for the Rich" that Pres Bush pushed through congress.

Ethically and maybe legally Effing Kerry-heinz should disclose her finances that cover Lurch's political expenses.

Does that answer your rhetorical question? Or is there some other motivation behind your cryptic remark.

John F'n maybe just a gigolo and fortune hunter but remember it was Teresa who was the original gold digger in this duo.
She married into the Heinz money in the first place.
F'n was essentialy living out of his car after his first marriage.

What would be the annual property tax on "his half" of the mortgaged house? That tax plus the monthly mortgage tax would most likely exceed his salary.

I understand from reading some article that it is kosher to make his mortgage payments from campaign contributions as long as he is a candidate. Does anyone know more details about the legality and/or practice of doing this?

The guy couldn't even make the interest payments on his after tax earnings, let alone the principle. But, as long as its paid off before he is formally declared the nominee (at the convention), his campaign can pay off 100% of it. That's why he's so gung ho on raising money now. The guy is evil and his wife is financing all of it with money from her republican husband. If John Heinz had been a democrat and his wife married a republican, you can bet the libs in the media would be all over it.
