I wish at least the part up to the pig fat would happen-- maybe we could threaten to do the pig fat routine, then bow to UN pressure and use salt and French truffle oil instead of pig fat as one small gesture of our wanting to "get along" with world opinion.

If they don't want the pig fat...then they do not desecrate the bodies of our comrades.

Otherwise, we should make it clear that that is exactly what they are going to get. Black Jack Pershing did something similar as I understand it and a lot of the Jihad thing against him ended.

Just my opinion...but that is something these animals will understand and will deter them in these actions.
