Liberal Democrats vs. Republicans
Republican Party of Florida

Posted on 04/19/2004 2:26:35 PM PDT by Brytani

DH and I spent this past Friday at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Miami. One of the fliers we found, put out by the Republican Party of Florida caught my attention and I wanted to share it with my fellow Freepers.

I believe this accurately describes the vast difference between Democrats and Republicans. Hope you enjoy.

There's a HUGE Difference

Throughout the 20th century, Liberal Democrats were in control of the legislative process in Florida and in Washington, D.C. However, with Republicans now leading the way, we are returning to the policies that made America great. The differences in the way we're governed reflect the core differences between the two parties.

CRIME
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE that the needs of the communities and law-abiding citizens must take priority over those of criminals.

Liberal Democrats have an extremist record of placing the rights of criminals above all, including freeing violent criminals on legal technicalities.

NATIONAL DEFENSE
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE that the only way to live free from foreign aggression is to maintain peace through strength.

Liberal Democrats would utilateraly disarm. They impose their agenda by continually voting to divert defense funds to expand social programs.

EDUCATION
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE that students must be challenged to learn in a school environment that is safe for students and teachers. Parents must be offered more opportunities and options and the massive bureaucracy must be reduced.

Liberal Democrats have imposed discredited social experiments upon our schools, dumbing down the curriculum. Together with left-wing union bosses, they fight attempts to reduce the bloated education bureaucracy.

TAXES
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE that Americans should keep more of what they earn through lower taxes and that tax policy should not suppress incentive by penalizing success.

Liberal Democrats relentlessly use propaganda to promote the failed premise that America can tax its way to prosperity. They wage class warfare against successful Americans through regressive taxes.

SPENDING
REPUBLICANS have long believed that government should not spend more than it takes in and have consistently fought for a balanced budget.

Liberal Democrats have a sad history of spending taxpayers' money to expand government bureaucracy and fighting against a balanced budget.

MEDICARE/SOCIAL SECURITY
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE that the senior's safety net must be preserved for today's beneficiaries and for the millions who will need it tomorrow.

Liberal Democrats shamelessly scare and frighten our seniors, acting as if nothing needs to be done, offering no solutions to a true problem.

GOD
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE, as the founding fathers before us, that God was a major factor in the creation of this nation and that efforts to remove Him from society altogether must be reversed.

Liberal Democrats are aligned with extreme left-wing elements that God should be totally excluded from public utterances.

I've always said I'm a Republican only because it's the lesser of two evils. But it is true that as time passes, it is harder to believe a thing from the mouth of any Dem (Zell Miller excepted) while I believe MOST of what I hear from Republcans.

Dems are huge liars, endemically. Yet they spend all their time trying to convince the apolitical public otherwise.

Truth/Character counts.

Bravo - well said!!! I love to see this stuff. Especially the blatant canyon between One Nation under God and One Nation Against God.

Great! Gotta love it.

Short. Concise. Understandable.

Efforts like this wins elections. Educating the 'voters' is a must and despartely needed.

Make this the standard protocol for republican elections. Flood the mainstream and media with these differences where one can't help but be exposed to what it means to vote 'republican'. (i.e. 'Contract with America', circa early 1990's.)

Hello, RNC? Are you out there?

There are a couple other things that can be added to this list.

Republicans believe that all men have equal rights and that all men should be judged on their ability and moral character.
Democrats believe that a man's skin color and gender gives more rights to some men than to other men and that moral character is a liability.

Republicans believe in the right of all men to own private property and that a man should be able to live where he would choose to live.
Democrats believe that only government can own private property and that all people should live in the cities in small homes while they live where they want to live in big homes.

Republicans believe in the bill of rights and the constitution.
Democrats believe that the United Nations should replace the American constitution in order for the communist governments and radical religions like Islam to be able to steal American's riches and add on more taxes also.

Republicans are patriotic and love America and freedom and believe in the freedom of religion and of speech.
Democrats are anti American and would destroy America's constitution and replace it with fascist communist people's rights government that would allow the government to squelch freedom of religion and of the press and of speech.

Too bad, their rhetoric and what actually happens in Congress is too different things. Still waiting for our Republican Congress to start acting like the conservatives they claim to be

I won't be holding my breath

That will change in January when Bush settles scores with all the RAT senators and congressmen that tried to "Kerry" him this election cycle.

Did not have time to post last night; but think this is great!

I am copying (changing only 'HIM to GOD' in 'God point'. I will keep this in my car; leave on mailboxes with homes who have Kerry signs; on cars with same; at Starbucks. . .at Barnes & Noble on table with newspapers etc.

Will update with accompanying articles ie depending what is out there ie today's article (posted here from London Telegraph/World Net Daily) re attempted Chemical attack (thwarted)using cars filled with chemicals/enough to kill 20,000 or so. . .to remind these idiots/I mean people. . .that a WMD does not need a warhead on a missile to kill 'masses'. (Like we should need reminding, post 9/11, of course. . .)And that both of these elements; car/chemicals are in abundance within every terorrist community.

If just one Lib 'get's smart - and therefore 'real'; it will be worth it.

Surely others here have some ideas on 'quiet activism'!

Anyway; good points all; thanks for sharing. . .and I see more coming up. . .

"I am copying (changing only 'HIM to GOD' in 'God point'. "

Actually, upon re-reading; decided if I am sharing; a little more editing is needed - which can be done without changing the 'point' of course.

So; after editing a bit; I hold to my committment to share :^)

O.K. if you say so.

Second term Presidents tend to use the bully pulpit a lot more. I have a suspicion that Bush will sit back and get lazy on legislature hot buttons as not to soil his "War Legacy" and give the Democrats political ammunition to win in 2008 by being "a mean spirited hate mongering conservative" in his last term.

Plus he has to hand to ball off to someone.
