Like I said, now things are changing, but back just a few years...

Mao and his predessors weren't all that nice of people.

Talibanesque... pretty much...

If I am not mistaken I saw it as part of a documentary that was aired on the discovery channel a while back. They were talking about legal reforms, prisons, cops, etc in China in relation to the drug trade in Asia.

I can't prove that it happened, but I am 95% positive it was on that show...

And thats just what the media admits too...its WAY more than that.

They won't admit it precisely because of human rights issues.
