In a closed-door meeting with the 9/11 Commission on April 8, ex-President Bill Clinton said that his admission to a Long Island business group two years ago that he turned down Sudan's offer to arrest Osama bin Laden was "inappropriate," according to 9/11 Commissioner Bob Kerrey.

In 1992 in the Dem primary campaign Kerrey dropped out after the press corps led by Chris Matthews had a public fit after Kerrey told a lesbian joke on the press plane. Matthews had already heard Klinton tell the same joke and Kerry probably heard it from ol' slick too. Kerrey was pretty bitter for quite some time.
