LAKE WORTH, Fla. - One of the funniest of the many amusing moments from John Kerry's campaign appearance yesterday came when a golden girl addressed Sen. Joe Lieberman.
"As an observant Jew ..." the woman slowly began.
Lieberman: Do you mean yourself or me?
Both, she replied. "After what Bush did," she continued, in an apparent reference to the president's support for Israeli leader Ariel Sharon, "most observant Jews are switching over to Bush."
We had to stifle a laugh as the crowd of Democrat activists moaned and shrieked.
Lieberman tried to calm the nervous woman by insisting that there was no greater supporter of Israel than Kerry. For the truth, click here.

this is easy. Hanoi John French Kerry said he will turn over decision making to the UN and be sure to go along with the world community. The US typically stands alone on the UN Security Council for not sanctioning Israel. How can any reasonable person seriously believe Kerry would stand alone against France & the axis of weasels in support of Israel?

Simply shameless liars- the whole lot of them. If the Pinochio Syndrome were true and not just a cartoonist's fantasy, a whole lot of eyes would be poked out at every Dem. meeting. The only safe way to go to a Dem. rally would be wearing a safety goggles.

I have a question that doesn't really concern this article, except that it is about Joe Lieberman.
When, exactly, did Joe Lieberman's head get so dang big?
Bushead!!

Bush did for Israel what he did because he belives it is the right thing to do. There is a difference between a man of conviction, and a man who will say anything for votes.

Lieberman: Do you mean yourself or me? It must have been her Joe. You are not an observant Jew according to your (former) synagogue.

She means he's a liberal (no joke).

Bush did for Israel what he did because he belives it is the right thing to do. There is a difference between a man of conviction, and a man who will say anything for votes.Like Bush's amnesty program for illegals and his refusal to close our borders, his "Ted Kennedy" education bill, his increase in funding for the National Endowment for the Arts, his promise to renew the assault weapons ban, etc?
I support Bush's war on terror, including his decision to liberate Iraq. But he is far from being a man of conservative convictions. I'll vote for him again, since the alternative is unbearable. But I'll not sing false praise for him.

Ungfortunately most American Jews still don't get it and persist in their foolish allegiance with the Democratic Left.

I thought I was the only one who thought like this.

Brilliant point...
Without the U.S. standing hard in Israel's corner they would be overwhelmed both in and out of the UN. Kerry's position is either one or the other... support Israel in face of UN opposition or cede leadership to the UN and and follow the lead of the third world against Israel. I am sure he will say he can do both... and 40% of the voters will believe him.
To: SpyGuy
Actually, I support him on all of those things. The education bill is making the teachers union prove that they are doing what they are paid to do. The immigration bill is a start at a real problem and is only the very public part of what is actually being done. Since I live in Arizona I can see a lot of things that are going on under the radar to clean up the immigration mess. As to the NEA, all he was doing is trying to turn the ship from the direction it is going into something a little more useful.
I can't understand why you would think he could just wave a magic wand and suddenly we'd be back to 1790. It doesn't work like that. You have to take steps to eliminate the problems before you do away with something. Even Reagan didn't do away with the NEA, or the Dept of Education, and if I recall correctly, gave out one of the biggest amnisty programs in history.

A person who turned on his own country would think nothing of sacrificing Israel to the alter of the UN.

Am I mistaken, or didn't Kerry make some favorable comments about one of the Hamas leaders who were killed?
How do the Jews feel about that?

U.S. Jews, Arabs in vote flip-flop?
Post-Gazette ^ | 4-19-04 | Ann McFeatters

WASHINGTON -- In the 2000 presidential election, a majority of Jewish voters pulled the Democratic lever, and a majority of Arab Americans voted Republican. In 2004, the opposite could occur.
In the Nov. 2 election, which most experts expect to be close, such a seismic shift in voting patterns has political consultants for both candidates biting their nails.
This year many Jewish voters are leaning toward re-electing President Bush, who just broke with 35 years of U.S. policies to endorse a plan for Israel to withdraw from Gaza but maintain disputed Jewish settlements in territory in the West Bank claimed by Palestinians. Bush also rejected the Palestinians "right of return" to disputed territory where they lived before 1949.
