Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry promised to post all of his military records online by today, although his campaign is withholding some relevant documentation.
"They will be posted on the Web site beginning later this evening as the campaign completes the process of scanning them in," the campaign said in a terse statement issued late yesterday after two days of criticism over retreating from an earlier promise to release the records.

"Actually I released my records...before I withheld some of them...but I ordered all of them released...before I ordered the rest of them withheld...and then released...but not all of them...but most of them...withholding some documentation, of course... "Obviously Ed Gillespie doesn't understand the subtle nuances of the sophisticated:
"John Kerry's pattern of caveats, qualifications, disclaimers, policy reversals and vacillation are not the qualities voters are looking for"Ed needs to get the Europeans over here to explain all these "shades of gray"--those sophisticated Europeans whose domestic and foreign policies show the same kind to thinking that the elegant Sen. Kerry displays so...well, so elegantly...and with such sophistication.
Maybe Al-Qaida will also respond favorably to Sen. Kerry's elegance and sophistication--not to mention the clarity of this thought processes and his leadership abilities! You can be sure they're backing him for President!
Good thing the LT was able to get back to the boat and lead his crew. Too bad he didn't get to stay five months like Senator Gore's son, Albert. What would one call a leader who abandoned his crew in wartime? 'Cut and Run' Kerry? Oh well, at least they had the privilege of being in the exalted presence of a fourth rate, fringe Boston Brahman.
Not really all that similar. There has been so much foot-dragging by Kerry on this one that you have to think that there is a major, behind-the-scenes effort to sanitize the records & trackdown any witnesses/loose-ends.
I've been trying to ignore this media story. Even if there's something 'there', the Media will minimize it & draw false comparisons with GWB's service. There has to be a last line of defense for the Kerry Campaign if Vietnam blows up on them.
Oh heck, I'm just going to ask the question: With all that we know about Kerry's character and the facts to date, is it so hard to believe that Kerry manipulated the "3-Purple Heart Rule" and used it as a Get-Out-Of-'Nam Free Card?
No incision? No anesthesia? No sutures? Sent right back to duty? Then what I see here is, they picked out a sliver with tweezers and put on a bandaid with antibiotic ointment. Woo Hoo! No wonder he doesn't want his medical records opened.
