Kerry's not a good candidate, but why does anyone think the country would elect Hilary in a switcheroo?

If the 'Rats pull a "Lautenberg" and install Hillary! as the candidate on of about September 30th, she will be unstoppable. The more Kerry stumbles, the more I wonder if this was the plan all along.

Lautenberg was the worst candidate you can imagine, but six weeks before an election each candidate has so many negatives that you could beat the best candidate with almost anybody. Even Hillary! Maybe NJ 2002 was just a practice run.

Like Major League Baseball, Bob Redford doesn't seem to understand that the Cult of Celebrity depends on having actual spectators. And that lots of spectators, like this one, are spending their time doing more important things than watching Robert Redford films or ML baseball games.

This is as classic as Clinton's "smoked marijana, but didn't inhale".

so Kerry says " Yes, I drive and suv but I don't steer."

Trust me, Her Heinous is very stoppable :) In fact, the shine has so worn off the apple here in the Empire State, if she were to run for re-election, she'd lose. So if even the blue bits of NYS are educable, then I'd say there's hope for the rest of them nationwide, too :)

Kerry said he owns and drives a Dodge 600 and recently bought a Chrysler 300M. He said his wife owns the Chevrolet SUV.

I don't believe for a minute that Effin' drives a Chrysler, unless he's calling a Mercedes-Benz a Chrysler. Close enough. (But I bet all the foreign vehicles owned by Teresa, et al., are registered in other names, e.g., a trust, a foundation, the gardener's name, etc.)

He reminds me of a local Democrat judge who was running for reelection a few years ago. He was out campaigning to a bunch of union guys, and showed up in a Chevy Suburban, which is the only vehicle he drove - up until the primary election. After he lost the primary, he was back to driving his silver Audi A8 fulltime.

Liveshot(John Kerry) a man of the people? Not by a longshot
The Boston Herald ^ | April 23,2004 | Howie Carr

Liveshot a man of the people? Not by a longshot By Howie Carr Recent Columns by Howie Carr Friday, April 23, 2004

I am speaking to the parking clerk of Nantucket, Jack Gardner. The topic is the recurring rumor that Gigolo John Kerry [related, bio] and his wife, the widow Heinz, are notorious parking scofflaws.

``I'd only see the tickets if they don't pay them,'' he said, ``and I don't have anything from them here.''

Well, I said, is it possible that the vehicles - a white Cherokee and a pair of yellow, gas-guzzling Land Rovers - are registered to , the phony-baloney name on the deed of the $9.1-million cottage on Hulbert Avenue?

``Don't see anything under that name either,'' he said.

Odd, I said, because even though his second wife's first husband's mansion is within walking distance of town, Liveshot doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd hoof it anywhere.

``Walk?'' said the parking clerk. ``I've never seen him walk. He rides his bicycle or Rollerblades.''

Doesn't get much more John Kerry than that, does it? Bet he rides his bike in the middle of the road, too, so all the other Beautiful People can't pass him in their yellow Range Rovers.

As a candidate, John Kerry is a lot like they used to say of Germany - either at your throat or at your feet. It's a long campaign, and things may change, but this week, Liveshot is at George Bush's feet.

He seems a bit off his caviar lately. He's Grey Poupon running in a French's mustard world. He's the only Ducati in a Harley showroom, a Grand Prix man at the Firecracker 500.

Kerry tells Tim Russert Americans must learn to conserve fuel, and everyone is supposed to forget his 42-foot powerboat, and his gold-digger wife's $35 million Gulfstream V private jet.

Message: Do as I say, not as I do.

When he's running against somebody who won't release his taxes, Kerry says he must be hiding something. When Teresa won't release her taxes and somebody asks what she's hiding, he starts sputtering, ``How dare you!''

Reminder to myself: Must find out if Teresa, age 65, collects Social Security.

One day he's railing about Bush's alleged secret plan to lower gas prices. The next day, he's complaining that prices are too high, and that widows and orphans are having to overturn cushions looking for change. And everyone is supposed to forget he voted for a 50-cent increase in the gas tax?

Try to imagine if George Bush was running against Bill Clinton after these past few weeks. Clinton would be at least 20 points ahead in the polls.

Kerry is down by five.

Everywhere he ever went shopping, or played hockey, or had a drink - there's a story about him, and not one of them is flattering. Even some of his mailmen have been diming him out.

Does anyone have a fond memory of a run-in with John Kerry?Has he ever done a favor for anybody who wasn't on either the Forbes 400 or the Social Register, or a widow worth $550 million?

Right now, I only need one thing to make my weekend complete - a photograph of Kerry in a yachtsman's cap, a la Thurston Howell III. Surely one must exist, somewhere, and it belongs on every Internet site in America, right next to Jim Backus's publicity still from Gilligan's Island.

Of course, as somebody pointed out yesterday, Kerry doesn't look like Thurston Howell, he only talks like him. The '60s TV character Kerry most resembles facially is Jane Hathaway of ``The Beverly Hillbillies'' - Mr. Drysdale's secretary.

Is it too late to retitle the new biography on John Kerry? Surely it should be called ``Do You Know Who I Am?''

There is no way in H*LL this elitist scum bag has been driving a Dodge/Chrysler product all these years. You know he traded in some forign car within the last year just like he traded in his expensive Itallian motorcycle for a Harley once the campaign started. What a joke.

and he only donated to charity last year when he knew he was going to run for president. Considering the billions they have it was a paltry sum to boot.

Were any of his Chrysler automobiles made in Canada or other foreign country?

They probably were.

On one of the news shows it showed a convertible Dodge something or other (I think it was gray w/a black top) that looked like it was in storage. Supposedly this was Kerry's car. I don't know why someone married to a multi-millionaire would drive a Dodge (unless maybe it's a Viper)

No, he got it in 2003. He formerly had an Italian bike, a Ducatti. And the kicker, The Heinz Foundation bought him his Harley!

I would agree that Hillary! could never win a conventional election. The more people see of her, the less they like her. Therefore, her only hope is to be named the candidate with only a few weeks to go before the election.

By late September, the negatives on both George W. Bush and John F'n Kerry are going to be through the roof. If Hillary! can replace Kerry at that point, she will pick up all of his remaining support, all of the Clintonista vote, all of the people who want to "make history" and all of the people who are repulsed by both Kerry and Bush at that point. All of these added together is at least half the vote.

Not even Hillary! could screw it up. The only way to stop it is to prevent it from happening.
