SILENT PROTEST AT RUTGERS
Daily Targum ^ | 04/23/04 | vanity

The Daily Targum-student newspaper at Rutgers University,New Brunswick,NJ carried this report of a "silent protest" by members of the Lesbian,Gay,Bisexual, and Transgendered Community, and their "straight allies".

It appears the LGBT members have committed themselves to a "vow of silence"-symbolic of how LGBT members are silenced-some of the members placing duct tape over their mouths to demonstrate their commitment to this vow.

A bit later on,some of the demonstrators must have removed their duct tape,because-according to the report-a "kiss-in" began.

(Link to the story for further details. I'm outa here !)

Hmmm. The queers keeping their mouths shut for once.

Sounds like a plan to me...

Having had the misfortune to attend and graduate from Rutgers University, I can attest that "Red" Rutgers is dominated by faculty and students who are anti-American and far left in every connotation of those phrases.

Rutgers was among the first to kick off ROTC during the Viet Nam War, and allowed a mob of radical black students called "BOSS (Black Organization of Students) to seize control of several campus buldings back in the 1960's, denying the other students the right to attend classes for which they and they parents had paid.

What makes Rutgers all the more sinister is the fact that they have a law school.

I agree !

I started laughing helplessly at the idea of this particular segment of our society being SILENT.

We've had at least 2 decades of screaming, howling, gesticulating, and generally "in-your-face" conduct: all brought to us by the magic of television.

I can't think of anyone, who is not a member of this "community" who is not ready to scream:

ENOUGH,ALREADY !!!

The super glue would be best applied to other orifices.

Silenced? Are you kidding? They won't SHUT UP!

There's a hand lettered sign on the wall of the local high school with rainbow flags all over it that says something to the effect of "Stand up for what you believe". I might suggest that that sentiment goes both ways. If the LGBT folks want to have the right to stand up and speak for their 'beliefs', they should be prepared for those who disagree with their lifestyle to do the same. They don't like that though; that's considered bigotry and harassament.

How exactly are they silenced? They never [expletive deleted] shut up! Numerous TV shows revolve around a gay character's sexuality. News stories about gay issues, gay protests, or gay events regularly hit the airwaves. Dozens of magazines and periodicals directly target gay audiences. We hear more about gay issues than we do about tax issues, fer cryin' out loud! Morons.
