In most respects Hentoff toes the left-liberal line, but in two ways he stands out:

1. he is firmly pro-life, although he is agnostic/atheist, a la www.godlessprolifers.org; and
2. he detests character assassination, even when done to promote policy ends that he otherwise would support.

Oh, I think I know who this guy is. I think that I have seen him on FOX a couple of times, maybe on O'Reilly.
