You haven't lived 'til you've seen a 1200 foot long dark grey perfect cylinder float noiselessly through the sky past you on an Autumn night.

Well, I saw three lights in a triangle come in low & slow over the Santa Barbara Channel.... pulled off the Hwy 101 and no, repeat NO sound..... well... sounds like Art Bell stuff.

I've seen that too, but it was many years ago.
Very strange indeed.
Un-nerving.

Happened to me one June night/morning around three AM driving South on I-59 just North of B'ham, AL (right where the interstate ended, prior to that section being finished/opened into B'ham). Flew right over my VW. I watched it through the windshield then the open sunroof. Not a light, wing, nor sound. And it was huge. Scared my wife nearly out of her shoes. I wanted to turn around and chase after it, but she was screaming so badly, I just parked and got out to look around in the moonless sky.
