OLIPHANT: I WATCHED KERRY THROW WAR DECORATIONS
Drudge ^

Posted on 04/26/2004 5:05:01 PM PDT by hope

OLIPHANT IN COMING BOSTON GLOBE: 'I was 4 or 5 feet behind John Kerry. I watched Kerry reach with his right hand into the breast pocket of his fatigue shirt. The hand emerged with several of the ribbons... There couldn't have been all that many decorations in his hand -- six or seven -- because he made a closed fist around his collection... From what I could observe firsthand about Friday, April 23, 1971, Kerry did not make even the slightest effort to pretend that he was throwing all of his military decorations over that fence.... Kerry had arrived here with only the ribbons he wore on his shirt... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have always found the political junk served up by Kerry's detractors to be undignified as well as largely inaccurate. I write now because the political junk is much higher profile now, though no less misleading -- and not, by the way, because in her fourth job in the public arena, my daughter just joined Kerry's staff. I just happened to be there that long-ago day. I saw what happened and heard what Kerry said and know what he meant. The truth happens to be with him...' Impacting Hard Late Monday...

Well Gibson said he saw Kerry throw medals.

And Kerry himself has said in the past he threw medals.

When they are lying from Jayson Blairs, etc.....

From The Boston Globe's (and New York Times') own wars against the War for Enduring Freedom.

Turkish bombings, including that of the HSBC bank murdering a dozen people and wounding scores,
directly resulted from smears in the Boston Globe used to demean America and incite terrorists.
The Boston Globe front page article claimed the American liberation of Iraq from the murderous Saddam was a "rape".

The Boston Globe has a history of front-page slurs against the valiant American military [which later were merely fabricated] [4/8/03]

The Boston Globe has a history of falsifying front page polls

He is also a self confessed war criminal? That makes him either delusional or a war criminaql and I want neither as the President of the USA.

The facts remain thus: At the time he publically threw his medals away it was understood by all that he threw them away- not his "ribbons"! He didn't correct the press at the time which reported that he had trhown them away? Ten years later- Kerry has these medals on the wall of his office?

Sorry. It is a lie.

So, Kerry was pretending to throw his medals over the fence? Why, that indicates to me that he was a liar then, a liar in the years between then and now, and a liar today. The man does not understand the concept "truth." Or, perhaps "truth" in his universe means "whatever I want to be true at a particular moment."

this is misdirection - it has nothing to do with Kerry lying & changing his stories or losing his temper and displaying a general level of frustration and ineptitude not becoming of POTUS

Someone should ask the fool -- if we should take Kerry's own words as evidence he is a War Criminal?

Does Oliphant believe Kerry's story that War Crimes were committed on the scale that Kerry TESTIFIED to before the Senate...

Oliphant should go back to playing gerbel in a believer's clymer.....and shut the hell up..

That's what I was going to say.

Wasn't that the point he was trying to make?

Wasn't he[at the time] telling people he was throwing his "medals" in?

Unbelievable! It's as though he had nothing whatever to do with her death!

Still not very helpful. Did he throw only those ribbons he took out of his pocket (which could have belonged to anyone), or ribbons he removed from the outside of his shirt, that is, the ones he had been wearing?
