Thanks for your views, Lieutenant. Now go kill them all or join the Peace Corps.
Let's stop kidding ourselves. This mysterious "vast majority of Iraqis who support us" is a lie. When I see teenagers looting destroyed HUMVEES on TV every night, I start to think we should turn the keys back over to the guy we overthrew.

Yes, sir, Lieutenant! Will do! Well said.

I think that television coverage of the war should simply end.
War is a dirty, filthy mess, and you don't win it by dying for your country, you win it by making the other bastard die for his.
Yes, innocent people get killed in war. That is nothing new. If they don't want their homes destroyed, and their families to die, they should do something to stop it. The Iraqis are certainly in a position to do so.
For a parallel in history, if only one German would have sacrificed his life and shot Hitler in time, millions would have been saved.
The ONLY THING that is new since World War II, is that now it is seen in everyone's home.

Oh, one more thing is new. The bombs are bigger.
And, more accurate.

It doesn't get any better. We are seeing the final collapse of the ability of the central command media to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

This mysterious "vast majority of Iraqis who support us" is a lieAnd you have what to back this up?
You are probably one of the many who have the audacity to contradict those on the ground based on what you see on tv.
What foolishness and nonsense.
and I'd agree with the Lt. much more than you.

We need to keep up the e-mails to the Dems and Kerry with caps in the subject line: YOU'RE KILLING OUR TROOPS! Can't hurt and it might help.

And maybe our guys on the ground don't see what we see every night on the news.
To: kattracks
I'm in theater right now and can tell you that the Media is starting to get to some of us. I got in an huge argument w/ a PFC out here the other day because he thought we had no business here and they hate us. Send the 1LT's letter to everyone you know.
To: My Dog Likes Me
They probably don't see it, they are too busy living it while you're there at home watching TV.
The TV images do not reflect the Big Picture reality.

what we see every night on the news.Who decides what gets shown on the news every night?
Once you answer THAT question, then ask your self if what is shown on the news is part of an agenda.

Freepers are on it, kattracks!
We e-mailed the Lt's letter to FrontPageMag, and to many troops, Veterans - allies (and others in the press).
It is being warmly received, and many are promising the Lt. and his Marines that they will help spread the news on the homefront - including a loyal and true Brit ally, who promises to do the same for the war effort in the UK.
Thank you, David Horowitz, for giving our troops a voice in the public square!
God bless our troops!

we are losing the war of perception with the media and American people. Our enemy has learned that the key to defeating the mighty American military is by swaying public opinion at home and abroad. Thanks to the DNC
