Muslim mobs burn Christian homes: Attack began at 3 a.m., continued until all were destroyed

Muslim militants in eastern Indonesia burned down several hundred homes in an overnight attack on a mainly Christian area where 26 people were killed in three days of fighting.

The attacks on Christians in Maluku province, once known as the Spice Islands, continues with no end in sight, according to the Washington, D.C.-based human rights group International Christian Concern.

Laskar Jihad warriors

On Monday, several hundred homes of Christians were burned down in the Tanah Lapang Kecil and Batugantung neighborhoods of Ambon, the provincial capital.

The attack began at about 3 a.m. and continued into the afternoon hours until all of the homes were destroyed, ICC said.

According to news reports, government buildings have been abandoned and taken over by unidentified snipers using the rooftops to scout victims, including several policemen who have been killed in the past few days.

Maluku, which has been about half Christian and half Muslim, came under attack between 1999 and 2002 from a radical Islamic group called Laskar Jihad, or Army of Holy Warriors, which aimed to make Indonesia an Islamic state.

As WorldNetDaily reported last year, the group has continued to operate despite formally announcing it had disbanded.

Many of its members have joined the al-Qaida-linked terror network Jemaah Islamiah, blamed for the 2002 Bali bombings and last year's suicide attack on the Marriott Hotel in Jakarta.

According to the Australian Associated Press, the latest violence began when members of the region's small Christian separatist Republic of South Maluku marched through Ambon to mark the 54th anniversary of a failed independence bid.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world, with more than 180 million. A minority supports the radical Islamic parties that share the aim of converting the nation into an Islamic state, analysts say.

In response to the march, the AAP said, Muslim gangs torched houses and churches, and set fire to a local Christian University and United Nations offices.

Several people also were hacked to death with machetes by the mobs, AAP reported, before hundreds of troops from Jakarta arrived to try to quell the attacks.

Under Indonesia's former leader in the 1970s and 1980s, Suharto, Muslims were sent to Maluku to dilute the secessionist movement.

The separatist leaders called for international intervention to stop the fighting while Christian leaders in Jakarta appealed to the central government.

The leader of the radical Muslim Brotherhood, Habib Husein al-Hubsyi, threatened earlier this week to send 7,000 holy warriors to the province.

Well said! We have got to stop this "religion of peace" nonsense, being spewed by our government. It's very simple, the Muslims they want to kill us. America had better wake up to that fact before it's too late.

I was unaware that they even liked women...thought they preferred young boys....

Women are for producing mini-Mo's; boys are for pleasure.

I was just watching Larry King and he was interviewing the woman who played Nellie Olson on Little House on the Prairie. She was molested by a family member when she was 6-9 years old, before the LH series.

She explained that the role of the Nellie worked like therapy for her (she had kept the abuse secret until she was a young adult), as her character was constantly kicking, screaming, throwing things, and generally acting out. This was her way of secretly venting the anger and trauma from being abused.

Then I read this latest jihad thread and it makes sense...

Those muslim boys grow up with a level of rage not typical in civilized societies. Gee I wonder why. Looks like the molestation is a win-win for the mad Mo's: they have their fun with the boys, while destroying their minds to make them inordinantly violent and bloodthirsty. Blame it all on the evil Joos (or Christians) and viola!

Haha, now that I think of it... does anybody remember the end of the LH series, and how Nellie finally was subdued? She married a guy that wouldn't take any shi'ite, and Nellie's father just loved him. He was Jewish, lol.

Not only do I agree, I've been trying to wake people up about it:

Yep, knew about this one. Actually this problem, as you know, has been going on for years and the incident reported is only a continuation of the latest conflict which started not at 3am as the post says but a few weeks ago.

It's getting time to stop the political correctness and call it like it is even if it offends the demos, the ACLU and other liberals looking for a cause. If not, we'll be in the same position as Israel...fighting for survival.

Mad Mo' was the Charles Manson cult leader of his time. Manson was a wuss compared to mad Mo'.

If Mohammad was alive now, he, too, would have a swastika tattooed on his forehead.

Boy no kidding.

Suddenly in the last couple years I've decided I should have supported the Russians in Afghanistan and certainly in their suppression of stuff in Chechnya.

And frankly Slobo may be one of the few folks in this world that go it......

The Algerian Muslims have been killing entire villages of Christians. They lob off heads with machete's and the United Nations does nothing. The situation is horrifying.

Islam is a deadly world-wide plague, and liberalism is the AIDS virus that thwarts our defense.

Excellent analogy! The central theme of the late James Burnham's classic book of conservative philosophy, The Suicide of the West (published in 1964), was that "Liberalism is the social philosophy of the suicide of the West." He was thinking of communism, the growth of big government, equalitarian fantasies and such, but the same applies to the liberal view of Islam -- they can't accept the fact that Islam is NOT a religion of peace and that huge numbers of Muslims are, or are sympathetic to, jihadists. They don't want to face the truth because then what's to be done. They're more afraid of "what's to be done."

That's an idea worth pondering.

Is there any conflict on the entire planet in which muslims are not the cause??

Any thoughtful person who knows history and religion would be anti-Islam. Along with Communism, Naziism, and the Black Death, Islam has been responsible for more death and destruction on the face of the planet than just about anything else since the last asteroid impact. Islam was started by predators. It has spread by predation. It has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping up against the shores of the present, kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum.

Does one need to start shooting Muslims indiscriminately to get their attention to clean their filthy house?

Food for thought..........

If Mohammad was alive now, he, too, would have a swastika tattooed on his forehead.

Someone writing for Chronicles magazine (I think before 9-11!) commented that Mohammed with part John Gotti, part Charles Manson: in other words, a psychotic mass murderer. Devout Muslims hold Mohammed to be the model for all of humanity -- meaning, a good Muslim is, or willing to be, a psychotic mass murderer.

A good Muslim also favors an absolute theocratic state because that is what Mohammed established, and no dissent will be tolerated. Anything else is un-Islamic. At first, Mohammed spoke mildly and advocated friendly relations with non-Muslims. Over time, as his power waxed, he grew more tyrannical and demanded war against unbelievers. He killed those who merely mocked them. Think about the implication of that: If Mohammed is the model for humanity, and he killed those who merely mocked him, then it's is acceptable for a good Muslim ruler to kill anyone who merely mocks him.

Militant Muslims advocate freedom, tolerance and democracy, but plan to use these virtues to destroy freedom, tolerance and democracy. Non-militant Muslims are well aware of this. More non-Muslims should be aware of this, as well.

Some months ago, I caught the original Rambo and Rambo II on TV, back-to-back. They didn't air Rambo III, set in Afghanistan. I wonder why. I find myself sympathizing with the Soviets (UGH!).
