It took Specter less than 24 hours to start turning his back on Bush and Santorum and heading back to his leftist supporters in the Democrat Party. I hope all those conservatives who voted for him are happy now. I will vote for the Green Party candidate in Nov. before I will vote for Specter.

After reading it again, it's so pathetic that I can't help but note all the RINO apologists coming on full speed...funny, in a really sad way. But, hey...that's your GOP for you.

Specter has moved to the center, all right! The center of the Communist Party Politburo!

There is a new name for the twisted logic apologists for this disaster: Pretzel Republicans!

Less than a day after his primary victory, Specter touted his efforts to....resist school vouchers

Well seeing as PA's plan for school vouchers failed in the state legislature precisely because it was opposed by Central PA and suburban conservatives(didn't want to spend any more money on evil Philly black kids), shouldn't you be quite happy with Arlen's stance on that issue?

Fine, say hello to your next PA Senator, Mr. Hoeffel.

I'm not happy with all of Specter's positions. But I do believe that the election is about more than stem cell research, school vouchers, etc.

I never warmed up to Toomey. I got a weird feeling just looking at the guy. I'd rather vote for the guy that gives weather news on The Weather Channel than vote for Toomey. At least I trust the Weather Channel guy to give me the correct weather. Now do you understand? Toomey never won me over--although IF he had won, then I would have supported him in Nov.

I'm very disappointed with the Republicans in the Senate in their luke warm support for Bush's re-election efforts. People like Specter, Sen. John McCain, Sen. Richard Lugar, and sadly my representative and only GOP Senator from Nebraska, Chuck Hagel, have all given pretty luke warm support to Bush's policies on Iraq. Bush's efforts in the 2002 election season gave the GOP the Senate back and how do these Senators repay him, by isolating themselves from him. Just more evidence that the Senate is the worst legislative body we have on the national level.

"My agreements with the president are more extensive than my disagreements," Specter said.

I would rather have Sen. Toomey. Not having that, I would rather have Sen. Specter than any Democrat except Zell Miller (who is retiring). Don't send him any money but vote for him.

Well what do you want Specter to say? "I realize that my a** is still in the race due to Bush and Santorum. So watch me kneel and kiss their butts?"

I absolutely refuse to vote for my gay, pseudo Democrat congressman Jim Kolbe here in AZ. either. Anybody that voted for Specter should be having their meds increased.

In this case, were I from Pa. I would vote for the Democrat or third party. It's better to have a true believing commie to aim your spears at than a Benedict Arnold like this guy.

Some people here will be voting for Jim Clymer because they believe Specter won't support Bush enough. That's a little ironic because the Constitution Party has failed to support the President on the most important issue: the War on Terrorism. They oppose the Patriot Act and the Department of Homneland Security, and if it had up to them, Saddam would still be terrorizing Iraq. When it comes to the War on Terrorism, even John Kerry is closer to George W. Bush than Jim Clymer is.

He [Specter] said he could help Bush in the fall by pulling moderates to the GOP ticket.

IOW, Specter is "rewarding" the GOP by infecting the party with the RINO Virus.

Less than a day after his primary victory, Specter touted his efforts to trim tax cuts, retain overtime pay for workers, resist school vouchers and continue embryonic stem-cell research -

I can see the bumper stickers now ... Vote Specter! He's not as liberal as Ted Kennedy.

Is Specter going to lose the upcoming election? I mean, almost half the Republicans voted against him, and does he really expect the Democrats to vote for him when they can vote for a real Democrat?

Bush got screwed, as expected. Look for Spectator to eek out another narrow victory in the fall and start blocking Bush's judges.
