I'll bet they called Mr. Gonzalez 'precocious' as a child.

I'm betting he's barricaded right now inside his dorm room, wondering aloud why everyone just doesn't agree with him.

Pay no attention to what Mr. Gonzalez has said or written about Pat Tillmann. Pat is and will always be a real hero. Mr. Gonzalez is just venting his atavistic dislike of all things extraneous to his authoritarian hispanic cultural milieu! He could never measure up to someone like Pat!
As Shakespeare says: "When ignorance is bliss 'tis folly to be wise"!

Daily Collegian The Daily Collegian ran a piece explaining why they ran te article to begin with and their defense was "The First Amendment". I have a challenge to those with the ability.
Did David Horowitz try to run is "Reperations" ad in the Daily Collegian? If so, did they run it, or decline to run it?

So much for the employability of a Umass grad. Ha Ignorance like this will unfortunately find their futures in acedemia. He is one who was never taught to think.

In his own neighborhood in Puerto Rico, according to Gonzalez, Tillman would not have been considered a hero, but a "pendejo," or idiot. That's a curious translation ... certainly not the one I learnt, many moons ago. I think there is a pendejo in this matter, but his name isn't Tillman.

The Daily Collegian's email account cannot accept any more messages: "account over quota" error come up. I'll bet. LOL!

University president Jack Wilson says the op-ed piece was "disgusting, arrogant and intellectually immature." You know you're riding the far left margin of the road when the president of a liberal university calls you arrogant and intellectually immature. How long before there's a lawsuit contesting any poor grades this numskull gets in the future because the president called him intellectually immature?

So much for the employability of a Umass grad. Please. He'll have offers waiting for him from the New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, The Nation, Mother Jones, etc. etc.

This guy Mr. Gonzalez is doing what a lot of cowards are doing these days... taking a little field trip down the road of the right to free speech. Sometimes Mr Gonzalez, you just have to know when to shut up.
To: CaptRon
Where Mr. Gonzalez comes from, anyone who can read after age 30 is referred to as "precocious" - not by the natives, who do not know what that means, but by social workers from the mainland.

Yes, there are college Republican's at UMASS, there aren't many of us. We not only have to put up with notorious people like Rene on campus, but many more exactly like him that try to slash our funding by 50% because they consider us a "Racist Organization."
