Thats a hell of a web page. By his own wording, it hasn't been updated, or even built in 4 years! Though it says it was only going to take "a couple of weeks."

Hello Frank...I see you signed up today. Assuming you're not a Troll (we get them often), why don't you bring us up to speed on the reaction on campus?

One of my daughters is graduating from college next week. Last week there was an academic awards ceremony we attended. She is graduating Summa Cum Laude from Georgetown College (NOT to be confused with the left leaning Georgetown University). During the ceremony the Chair of the Political Science Department made a presentation. He made a remark about Bush and Rummy still looking for a reason to be in Iraq. The side of the room filled with students has a few snickers, the side with parents - you could have heard a pin drop. He made his presentation and left the stage. I wanted to boo him, but Mrs SLB threatened me with severe bodily injury. I looked for him after to have a little chat but he immediately left the area.

"We do not hold back from printing news stories, columns or editorials that may upset our readership -- instead, we seek to both inform and stir debate through our publication," the letter, also posted on the Web site, reads. "Our decision to publish Gonzalez's column -- an opinion piece written by a member of our campus community -- is the only way for us to live up to this ideal."

Someone should test this policy by submitting some selections from Der Sturmer or the early parts of George Wallace's career.

I haven't been down to campus yet today, but as of yesterday this article had not been well received on campus. There are a lot of crazy liberals on campus, but he's probably one of the most infamous and vocal ones on campus so this really is not a surprise coming from him, in fact he makes stupid speeches in SGA Senate, and writes hideous columns like this all the time. I don't think there is a whole lot of surprise by many students on campus. We get a lot of stuff like this on campus maybe not as extreme as this, but pretty close.

This was published on ESPN so the steaming pile of feces will most certainly be getting visited by some folks looking to educate him in the errors of his ways.

Bull s***.

If someone wrote a column like this about James Byrd or Mathew Shepard, then the paper wouldn't have printed it, and they would have had the offender expeled from school right away (right so, I might add).

But if some little pussy traitor writes tries to slime a military hero, well that just shows the beauty of "diversity" of opinion.

Let's hope not, we don't need them getting into trouble since you just know that's what the foreign little scumbag wants.

This would best be left to folks not involved with the school or the military, folks that couldn't get kicked out.

Trust me, he considers all this negative feed back just a ploy by the Republican Club acting out their racist tendencies.

Your right about the University prez saying you're in moonbat territory- you KNOW you've left this planet then.

As for poor grades, never happen, highlander.

I don't know what dept he's doing his graduate work in, but simply put no one gets less than a B in grad school, and B's ain't so hot. Even if it's warranted.

They just don't get it.

Tillman's - and others -efforts may well have saved this UMASS puke from getting his Puerto Rican pendejo arse from getting erased in a future terrorist attack - but like so many, he completely missed the lesson of Sept 11th.

We are at war with terrorists and radical islam, Mr.UMASS may not understand that, but fortunately others with sense, do.

I will donate to help pay Mr. Gonzalez plane fare home, if he promises not to return to the United States.

I am not happy with the Bush policy in Iraq, since the conquest. But Pat Tillman's sacrifice in Afghanistan represents genuine patriotic heroism, and it is contemptible that anyone, regardless of their personal beliefs on certain aspects of Government policy, would seek to disparage it. I realize that many of America's students have been indoctrinated with the nihilistic concept that denies patriotic heroism as a virtue. But I realize, also, that any people who are unable to honor their genuine heroes, have lost their perspective as well as any sustainable system of values.

I partly blame the newspaper for letting this run, they have every right to reject columns they don't feel are appropriate they do it all the time. They tried to reject our club, from posting a letter to the students of UMASS about the Republican Clubs activities, and this wasn't a column this was an advertisement we were going to pay for. Fortunately our President knew what he was doing, and knew they could not reject our advertisement. Sadly stupid lefty columns are the rule not the exception at UMASS.
